It's a good offer for many because you can setup a quick website and then move on to a different domain if the renewal price is too much. A freebie is still great especially since it is free for a whole year. Thanks for sharing it with us

That's really good. It may benefit those who need it.

Though it is not good for long term plans. The reason being that whenever domains are made free, that is only for a specific time period. Renewal costs (if you want to use it more) is always bigger than the standard. So, do a valid comparison.

Calculate the cost for 5 - 10 years and compare then. This is a standard time for sustenance of most of the websites. If you find that website is not profitable in 5 - 10 years, you have the option to discontinue.

But, if your plan is not that big and you want to start and finish a project in 1st year itself then a free domain is very good. Otherwise,it is better to search elsewhere.

Maybe if you register domain with First account and after expires you register it with new account, but I can't guarantee it.

Just be aware that they will ask for a credit card (even if it's free) and auto renew for $47 a year (as I remember). They say you can remove it once you sign up, but I would rather not provide that.

47 a year is a ridiculous price. I paid less then that at network solutions for like a 10 year old domain. I would not recommend buying this way

my namecheap domain is 5 year with only 10 dollars , I don't sure because two years ago, and my hosting plan also 17 dollars only, 47 dollars are expensive

What domain extension you so you get so cheap domain. 10$ for 5 years is really cheap.
