Colonel Sander's great Nephew reveals the original KFC recipe

Postby Netherrealmer » 01 Oct 2025, 23:23

The great-nephew of Colonel Sanders decided to reveal the original recipe of KFC. This was the original recipe back in the 1940s. This is not the spicy chicken recipe because it has a different recipe because it has a crispier breading. This one was the one that Colonel Sanders created. And this is the taste that most older fans of KFC remember because if you will order original chicken right now, it's soggy. It's not the recipe that Colonel Sanders originally created. Basically, the new owners of KFC adjusted the recipe so the product will be cheaper. So that's why if you've been eating KFC since you are a child, you will notice that there is a change in taste. But if you miss the original taste that Colonel Sanders created, this is the recipe he does, revealed by his great-nephew. He decided to reveal the recipe because the KFC you eat now is not the original recipe of Colonel Sanders. They adjusted it and changed it so they can adjust with inflation. This was the pre-inflation recipe of KFC.

Not a chicken eater but I can perhaps ask some of my friends if they have noticed any difference.
However, I suppose that the Chicken products sold in India might be spicier than similar product in US or in many places.

This is some exciting news for old KFC fans! The original taste of Colonel Sanders' chicken was unique and memorable. It's heartening to see a family bringing back the true history of the recipe. While economic changes have affected the quality, we can still appreciate the original taste. Maybe it's time to try the recipe at home and enjoy the childhood memories!

I am still wondering why and how kfc has been in business since the 1940s. This at a time when far smaller eateries barely see their second year.

I've always wondered that. It's amazing how KFC has survived since the 1940s! Their secret is a combination of innovation, consistency of taste, and business strategies built over time. They have been able to build a strong brand around the world.

Small restaurants often face challenges with capital, management, or fierce competition. Without a solid long-term plan, it's easy to close early. KFC has learned to adapt to changing market and customer needs.

Now, it's not run by Colonel Sanders and his family anymore. In fact, his family have no more ownership of KFC because he sold it for, like, cheap. And now it's a billion-dollar company. It's now owned by a corporation, not a family. That's the reason why they're making a lot of money, but they changed the recipe so it does not taste the same. So they can fight inflation. But what happened is it changed the flavor. It's not as delicious as it used to be. And in the United States, KFC is now being beaten by Jollibee and Church and Popeyes.

Corporates are sure to ruin great people-focused businesses.
I hope the family running the Kiwi show polish business don't ever sell the firm to a corporate.

Do you really mean that? Does it taste different to you?

When I was growing up, my family loved KFC. But now, I don't like it all! I thought maybe because I got old, my taste buds changed. LOL.

Maybe it depends on the country where the KFC is located. In America, I don't like KFC anymore. They have KFC in The Bahamas, but I haven't been there in a while.

All I know is, you know, it's a popular ingredient in many queries. And yeah, it really works well with me. But, because it's expensive in the USA, KFC tried to be cheaper and replace it with other additives they can use. I think that's why Colonel Sanders' nephew shared the recipe. So people who wants to experience the real recipe can experience it at home. Because the original recipe is not used anymore.
