A few weeks I download a PDF for a payment prn. As usual, I use my mobile to generate more of those as one of the services I offer to my clients. Sadly, the same file looks stuck on my chrome mobile.. Everytime I generate a new prn, the same file will show up. When I tab on the download icon, it will prompt redownload and a new file will come in. This is p***ing me off since everyone I am seeing the same file over and over. What can I do?

Is this happening on a particular app? Are you able to delete the PDF from your device?

Tried deleting the PDF and still is stuck. I have been forced to delete all cache and cookies. Really wonder why? It was happening on Chrome for mobile.

Updated and still does the same thing even after I deleted the cookies and cache. Best I got an option to see other new downloads.

Then the fault might be from the app, maybe a bug from their side not yours. Maybe you can try another app and see how it goes.

This is Chrome for Android mobile we are talking about. I have thought of completely uninstalling and reinstalling but scared of my data.

It seems that Chrome on your phone has saved an old file and keeps showing it. This could be caused by your cache or download history not being cleared properly.

Try clearing Chrome’s cache through your phone’s settings. Go to “Apps,” select Chrome, then “Storage” and click “Clear Cache.” Also, check the “Downloads” section and delete old files to avoid confusion.

After doing this, try downloading a new file again. If the problem persists, consider using a different browser like Firefox or Opera for a while.

Clearing the cache usually fixes such issues. Chrome sometimes holds onto old data, so a quick reset or switching browsers can make everything run smoothly again. But this option still failed. And I don't want to reset my entire device.
