Top Switch to LED bulbs.

Postby MattTolentino02 » 22 Aug 2022, 15:17

According to energy.gov, an average household can save up to $225 in energy costs annually by simply switching to LED lights. Although fluorescent lightbulbs are cheaper up front vs energy-efficient lighting, the long-term usage costs of fluorescent lightbulbs are higher than their LED counterparts. In addition, the standard lifespan of LED lightbulbs are 25,000 hours, while fluorescent lights are generally usable for only 8,000 hours (and LED lights have superior lighting quality)! Not only do LED bulbs consume less power/energy/electricty to operate, but you will also need to replace them much less frequently than fluorescent lightbulbs. Lastly, unlike fluorescent lights, LED lights do not contain mercury - a toxic material that can be fatal when inhaled. So if your homes still utilize fluorescent bulbs, do your best to prevent them from being shattered!

We have changed our bulbs to led three years ago, it was a good saving decision as we notice the difference in our electricity bill since then.

Not just any LED lamp, use the expensive ones because they can last for years. The cheaper a bulb the shorter its life is.

It looks beautiful! How much did you paid for it? And what watt variation do you recommend?

I don't check the watts because I already know LED do not consume as much. I got mine for like a 5 dollar shipping included. There are cheap ones too that is a dollar in price.

There is also the folding Football UFO lamp which can light your room in two ways.

You can make it into a football or a Flat multiheaded saucer

I think now most people have switched to led bulbs because they are indeed more efficient in terms of power and have a longer service life than conventional bulbs

Led bulbs don't have the possibility to break like conventional bulbs because apart from being made of plastic, they don't emit too much heat. Even for their lifetime, they also have a longer and more efficient service life even with large wattages

I advise you to switch to LED bulbs because they have a relatively longer lifespan, at a lower price for the same wattage.
