For the kind of incentives paid by almost all websites and forums, you cannot earn an amount that is at least somewhere near your offline/day job income to make a living. It is a total misnomer. I have been online for the last twenty years, and this is my bitter experience.

this is mostly easy if the person have the skills needed to work on freelancing sites because just posting on paid to post sites will not cut it.

PTC sites are not the best way to earn money. Though it may be the easiest, you won't earn much money on there unless you bring in many referrals.

You have to bring in enough recurring traffic to earn money through blogs, websites, and video/streaming channels. On Youtube specifically, you need a certain amount of subscribers and watching hours to get monetised. Once you get monetised you'll need to heavily censor your content to stay monetised, which can become aggravating after some time when you're trying to make content to attract and keep more viewers.

Freelancing is a great way to earn money, but you'll need to get good reviews and a stellar reputation in order to become appealing to potential customers. It can also become quite overwhelming when you get a constant stream of orders that can push you off schedule if you need to complete orders in a certain amount of time.

Creating content and selling your services are the best way to make money online, but freelancing might be easier to sustain than creating content.

I am always trying to find ways to make money online but I don't think the earnings will be that much to make me feel that I can leave my job and just concentrate on online earnings because they are slow and not reliable

Possible but not for everyone so you have to work very hard and should be skilled enough to make money equal to job earnings

It is ages since I left the PTC sites as a means of earning.

Working very hard online is not possible since there's no light in my community and fuel has increased in price so to earn a living is quite impossible.
