Between my offline and online job, taking care of my kids and my house and helping my parents, my spare time is short but when I can I enjoy to workout and take walks, I also like photography a lot and recently I bought a new Nikon camera in the hope that I will start to use it often

I'm retired and most of my time is just hanging around the house, watching movies, cooking, cleaning, shopping and other stuff of life. I started doing yardwork just for the exercise, to lose some weight and to get outdoors in my spare time.

My landlord liked what I was doing so much he immediately gave me a discount on my rent. He then invited me to see what I could do with another apartment complex. I still had plenty of spare time so I gave it a shot. Boom! A bigger rent discount and an invitation to try my hand at another apartment complex yard.

Then another, and another, and now I take care of all the yardwork for 18 complexes in my spare time. I am enjoying myself so much I consider this my favorite spare time activity. I just do whatever I want, whenever I want and wherever I see the need. The landlord even pays for all my gas to drive around to each property. The recent gas price increases have not affected me at all. Getting a huge discount on my rent is just a bonus. I enjoy it so much I would do it for free. I love making each place a nice place to come home to for each of the tenants. I wake up each morning like a kid excited for Christmas morning just looking forward to going out to play in the yards. Oh yea ... I've also lost 60 pounds!

There are somewhere around 270 -280 bushes I keep trimmed on all the properties. I'm now looking close at each property to find just the right bush for topiary just to try my hand at the artwork. I want to do at least one unique shape for each location. My first one came out good enough that everyone that sees it instantly recognizes a Scottish Terrier dog standing in the yard. Oh such fun!
