Home services and delivery of medicine kind of is expensive but if we can get those easily compared to 20 years back. I'd say things are good that way.

Obviously it's a big business: today, yesterday and tomorrow, until there will be sick people. But there's the other side of that coin: people who die because they cannot pay even for a simple antibiotic and in my country it's called shameful health mercantilism . The cost of surgery, medical consulting and drug should be based on the income of each one, instead of standardized at all.

In this time of pandemic the health services are down and almost out. Hospitals are full more because of covid patients. Other health services clinics like dermatology are closed for now.

I'm sorry about what's happening in your country: one of my best friends is from Philippines (I knew her using noise.cash) and told me she couldn't consult a pediatrician (all her children got sick, possibly coronavirus) nor take them to the public hospital because the public hospital got saturated and pediatrician didn't receive new patients .

I think with the recent Covid scare a lot of people take health seriously and it is spreading across countries.People have started to really prioritize their health hence making a lot of sense for the health industry to grow with such a growing demand for health products and services.

I'm afraid it won't never happen: to lower the prices is against companies interests. In my country, companies almost redoubled the health insurance prices, so I quitted mine . And my relatives in Italy are saying the trend there could be to copy from us or worse, from the USA: no more health free services, as time passes by. My aunt told be all medical consulting and medicine are increasing more and more their prices.

Healthcare was always big business in the USA. I get the idea behind setting up these emergency rooms. But in my area, they look like a complete waste of money. When people get sick, they don't go to those "convenient locations". They will still drive all the way across town to get to a hospital emergency room. Even though the hospital is way more crowded.

I'll tell you what I am surprised about. People seem to be willing to try acupuncture these days. I took my daughter to one and while I was in the waiting room, I was surprised at the number of people that came in for treatment. But I'm a die-hard westerner. If I'm going to try acupuncture, I'm not trying it in the USA. I don't trust them! I'll go over to the Far East where they know what they're doing.

Yeah, and there are so many healthcare professionals out there who will sell their skills by solving health problems. That is why there are so many private clinics, medical laboratories and hospitals.
