I think it's better to have a lot of competition. In the U.S., big cable companies will monopolize small towns. That way, they don't have to provide good service because consumers can't switch to other services and get the same level of internet speed.

I hope that Google Fiber increases the competition in the United States with it free 15 mbps for everyone and it awesome 1 Gbps speeds( you have to pay for this option but it not a bad price)
My current speeds are 80 Mbps though my company Verizon says they giving me 75mbps . It helps caz I download large files and play alot of PC games and ps3 games. Also there multiple devices connect to my network.
Having faster internet also allows me to connect to other games like black desert online JP( yeah i couldn't wait to play it so i used a vpn).
Also I know in other places internet is really REALLY SLOW. There are places where 2 mbps is like the average speeds a user has which is why im thankful for the competition in the United States.
