It includes lots of their recordings I have never heard anyplace else, including ad jingles, practice sessions and other off air oddities.
I used to run our city's high school alumni association (multiple public and private schools in our community) and went all out for all school alumni weekend events. I originally tried to book the Beach Boys for one year's event but they wanted $50,000 (USD) for a single 4 hour concert. I ended up with other well known but not quite as popular groups for the weekends that were substantially less expensive.
There've been some pretty obsessively detailed / intensively compiled unofficial & fan compiled sets over the decades. The recent offical download only copyright extension sets have still managed to reveal some tracks that dedicated fans had never heard of.
re your second comment, it's a shame that the band (or a version of the band - the Beach Boys currentally touring only have one and a half original members) became at some point more about the money than the music.

I'm trying to post something (not necessarily Christmassy but sometimes it will be) Dennis / Beach Boys themed every day, for a forum 'advent calendar'.
