Upwork Vs. Fiverr

Postby Mika » 15 Mar 2021, 12:41

Upwork and Fiverr, both are popular freelance marketplaces, however, these work on different concepts. On upwork, you will have t bid on jobs and will earn money only when your bid is approved. On Fiverr, you will be selling your service. You will earn only when someone buys your service.
Has anyone made money with any of these platforms? Which one is better

Thanks for sharing the information about the Fiver and Upwork! Since both the sites requires approval, I am not really interested in such sites as many a times our hard work is not get proper remuneration. Despite that I may give a try if I have ample of free time with me!

In all days I will choose Upwork over Fiverr. Upwork still makes it possible for new sellers to make money on the platform fast. Fiverr on the other hands makes 90% of the jobs available for the top rated sellers while makes life unbearable for New comers through charges.

Upwork is pretty difficult. I think the freelance service is something you would find out takes time with initial projects working in your favor. fiverr is cheaper and not so good people.

It's hard making money on Fiverr due to high competition.

I tried Upwork once and it was so overwhelming for me and i had a job at the time, I couldn't stay long because it was taking up too much of my time, so i quit. I find it very hard to earn on Upwork! it is not a walk in the park needs a lot of patience.

Yes, it is not easy. You will have to constantly bid on jobs and you in order to win a bid you have to bid for such a low amount that you end up doing a lot of hard work for a little reward

Fiverr has some of the bad buyers who want things to be done in 2 dollar or low amount. Which is kind of bad if you ask me. I prefer to avoid those type of the buyers.

Hmm, which kind of low priced clients are they?? Those kind of people love sucking down one's resources and offering very low amount for the services. If they are the ones priced so, will they accept such? I don't think so.

Most of the buyers on these platforms are from Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries and the sellers are from Tier 2 and Tier 3 countries. People from High-income countries are trying to wrench guys from lower-income countries

A lot of them. they like low bids and also take advantage of people who price things like that there. Which is kind of sad. Hope things work out.

I've tried joining Upwork but it doesn't do well for me. The competition is indeed very high so I tried to find ways to get some clients which are Reddit and Facebook.

True! However, it is at least better than working on paid to post the site where the rate can be substantially reduced or even the reward program can be stopped at any time.
