Information is great but well written and readable information.

I mostly read blogs with valuable contents, I like to learn a thing or two from a site I visit but if it an entertainment site I visit for fun and to keep my self very busy.

I want to read blogs that contain useful information, not boring, not long and preferably with pictures. But the pictures should not overwhelm the textual contents. It would also make a difference if there is some humor.

I wish you all the best with your new blog. However soccer is not my cup of tea - the only sport which still retains my interest is cricket, and I prefer to watch live matches rather than read blogs. But if you are starting a blog on soccer, you should also include some posts about famous soccer players and some interesting facts about them. I remember as a kid, I used to love reading cricket magazines, where they used to publish personal interviews of famous cricketers - I used to just love reading that section.

I agree with anilmr. Most people want to watch live sports action. If people want to read something about sports then the contents must be really intriguing.

Blogs are like information grounds some are very valuable with very educative content and provide people with all the information they need. I read them mostly for information.

Interesting and unique content that I cannot find elsewhere. Thing is, when you are writing about a topic make sure it covers and touches the most of it all. You'll find some half written articles then you get bored and move on to the next one.

I also read blogs about DIYs. These blogs are so useful. Why should I pay someone else to do a job when i can do it myself for free just from reading blogs.

I look for articles which are based on statistics and solid information. Most often I find stuff which are opinions and that sends me in search of scholarly articles to get my facts right.
When you give facts and figures in your articles you sound authentic. I love to read such articles which are not overly long.

I agree with this. This is especially true if the article an academic article. It would be frustrating to read such article only to find out later on that it has no legit sources.
