Have you tried eating fresh pasta?

Postby Netherrealmer » 02 Jun 2018, 12:23

Most of us are contented with eating boxed Pasta. They are easy to cook but they have lots of chemicals in them that we can't pronounce. I remember my chemistry teacher told me, If you can't pronounce a chemical's name. Don't eat it.

Fresh Pasta is not really hard to do, All You needed is flour, egg, water, oil and salt. Yeah most people make fresh pasta with a machine but a rolling pin and a knife can be enough to make them.

This is the video where I learned how to make fresh pasta. It is time consuming but it is fun. It can be a family bonding with kids.

I want to learn how to handpull Asian homemade Asian noodles. I think it can be useful for making spaghetti.

Fresh noodles tasted better than the dried and boxed ones. The texture and flavor tasted better and it works well better with the sauce.

I highly reccomend using the MAchine to cut, I always make them Tagliatelle HUMONGOUS! by hand.

Yes, fresh pasta is the best, even better IF you make your own sauce aswell!
-My favorite is pesto: GARLIC! basil, pine nuts and olive oil. Parmiggiano and Pecorino some salt

Originaly crushed by hands BUT it is time consuming, so if you try Smash them by hand(First the garlic then the basil) for a few minutes to make them release flavour then mix them with some electric tool

Although, now, I'm not eating pasta often, I really enjoy it. Pasta and all italian food :D
I already seen lots of people cooking fresh pasta, but I never did and I never tried also.
The way that you talked about pasta and fresh noodles made me think that I'm really lost something espetially good :)

Fresh Pasta is worth trying, The flavor is better and textures goes well with the sauce. Also it doesn't have the chemicals the commercial ones have. It is hard for me to explain why it tasted different but it is one of the best experience I had. If you have flour, egg, water , oil and a rolling pin and a knife, you can make fresh pasta without a machine.

If you don't like the mess of a rolling pin, there is the German pasta known as spaetzle and it is so easy to do. I put holes in a can to make this at home.

I love homemade noodles. My mom used to make egg noodles once in a while. I would find it hard to cut the spaghetti noodles so small though. I use the egg noodle recipe when I make chicken and dumplings instead of the traditional dumpling recipe. You just spoon drop them into the boiling chicken broth.

I just bought a Pasta making machine. It is a small home version one and it doesn't need electricity. I love fresh noodles, I never bought any dried pasta again. Flour with eggs ,oil water and salt is not even expensive. People just prefer the dry ones because it is easier.

The Pastas from the groceries are not fresh pasta. Those are called dried pasta or factory pasta. Fresh pasta is more of a labor of love. Buying flour , oil and egg is cheaper than buying a package of dry ones but the fresh pasta have more work. You will knead it and rolling pin it.

Anything fresh is more safe and nutritious and it good to have pasta that doesn't use electricity but manually operated or wind or solar power

I have made fresh pasta myself a few times, it's tricky to get the texture right but you can taste the difference. Normally I buy fresh tortellini stuffed with spinach and ricotta or wild mushrooms. Yummy!
