MyLot does fluctuate according to the site's revenue. I realize that. But here is what I'm a little confused about and maybe you or someone else can explain or clear it up for me.

If I comment on lively discussion but nobody responds to MY comment, is that still considered an interaction that can be monetized? OR ... Must people always respond back to a comment that I have made in order to be considered "interaction"?

If I initiate a discussion and nobody comments, ("Discussions With No Response"), do I at least earn a penny for trying to get a conversation started?

My thing with MyLot even though I like the site is that I was never really clear on what constitutes a "monetize-worthy interaction". You follw me? :? :?

1.If you make a response/comment and nobody likes it or comments back, you do not earn.
2.Your discussion with no responses and no likes will not earn you even a penny.

In short you earn only for received interactions on your posts, that is your discussions, responses and comments.

Hope it is clear.Yes,the earnings are not much there.

Nothing YOU do is an 'interaction' for yourself. You create only actions as far as yourself is concerned. myLot does not pay you for any actions you make.

You are not paid for your discussion, response, or comment when it receives a reply or a 'like'.

You get paid for those replies and likes that you received.

@Silvermist and @JolietJake - Thank you both. I totally get it now!

The explanations won't change what I already do at the site. Every time I sign in I enjoy having wonderful conversations with friends. If I can also earn from that activity I'm happy. After all I did sign up to earn some extra income. So far MyLot has consistently paid me for "something" that I've been doing at the site. As long as the owners let me stay there, I'm content to be a member there. MyLot has never been rude to me like Bubblews who deleted my accounts with no explanation and then vanished leaving a bunch of angry people behind. I didn't waste my time being angry. I'm glad when sites like that GO AWAY! We don't need sites like that that waste everybody's time.

Ooops! Sorry. This a discussion about MyLot. Went off course for a minute there.

BOTTOM LINE: MyLot is a great site and I hope it stays around for a long time.

I wonder if they will ever bring back the referral system. I think the Refferal system is one of the factors why it is more active 10 years ago.

Probably not. After all, why should you earn for a comment someone makes to someone else?

Call yourself user 'A'.

Let's say your referral is 'B'.

Now, 'B' used to get paid for their own activity.

As their referrer, you got paid an amount equal to a percentage of what 'B' made.

You got paid for his work.

But now, 'B' does not get paid to work.

'B' earns from 'C' 'D' and 'E' talking to him.

He earns from THEIR work.

How can you expect to also earn from their work when THEY are not your referrals?

If they ever go back to referrals, it will be a one-time payment. There will not be an amount equal to 25% of what they make from other users paid to you.

myLot would go broke doing that.

10 years, that is much. It shows that people can decided to take a break from forums only for reasons know to them, and they may later come back :) :)

Because it was one popular way in mylot, now as JJ mentioned, it is not possible for them, yet one time payment like BMF, FC is possible.

People who benefited from referrals on Mylot on the past though. I use to make 12 dollars from it on a daily basis. Also people use to be more active because of it.

For what I understood we never earn for our comments or likes, when you reply to a discussion or comment you will only earn if someone like or comment on your response. It is the same with the topics that you create, if no one comment you earn nothing.
