I'm a bacardi person. I used to drink vodka until it made me ill so I switched to bacardi and coke, not that I drink much these days but the occasional glass is nice.

No alcohol for me. If I do have some it will be a glass of red wine, but only on special occasions.

Definitely whisky. I love single malts.

Got an 18 year old Glenfiddich, a 12 year old Isle of Jura Superstition, a Glenlivet and a Dalmore. Yum.

I like both although I tend to favor vodka as my base and from it build up the drink I have in mind.

I'm beer person. I can drink whiskey and vodka but sometimes I couldn't breathe while drinking hard alcohol so I prefer light alcohols like beer.

I grew up with parents called "tea-totalers". Never had a drop of any kind of alcohol in our home. If we went out to eat, my dad turned us right around and back out the door if he saw any sign of a bar and we went somewhere else.

Way back in my early 20s, a couple of guys who worked summers only were headed off to college. The group was headed to a bar to say their goodbyes on the final weekend and asked me to come along. I first said no, because I had never been in a bar and did not touch the stuff, but they told me I could just buy a coke and join the fun, so I went along. The first member who reads this and lets me know gets 10 FC. Congratulations to Talkerbee who was the first to spot this Easter Egg on 7/4/18. 10 FC has been donated.

During the evening, one of them told me he just knew I would like a particular drink and he offered to buy it. "Don't worry, if you don't like it I can just give it to someone else." Well, I took a sip but did not like it,so it was passed on.

A little later, another co worker offered me something else - same deal. Again, I took a sip, didn't like it and it too was passed on.

It seemed to become some kind of game, because several others did the same thing. I took a small sip each time, didn't like it and they all were passed on.

Well, I suppose all those mixed drinks added up because I got totally plastered. I have no idea how I got home but my car seemed to have had some problem along the way. I have no idea how it got there either, especially with the drivers door hanging down and scraping the road.

I haven't touched the stuff since and have no interest in trying it again. Once was more than enough.
