Robotics

Postby hamzazubair » 16 Oct 2017, 17:30

Is anyone here interested in robotics or robot programming?
Do you guys have any Robot Kits or anything like those? If yes, how much did you get these kits for and from where?
How did you start developing an interest in robotics?
Whats your favourite part of Robotics?
Let me know, thanks!

Are you referring to the "robotics" similar to asimo? That is a robot developed by the Japanese and I think he is helpful and cute. I am interested in interacting with a robot like that but I am not sure if I have the patience to learn about the programming thing.

By robotics I meant creating a small robot (without any proper/defined shape) and programming it through a PC.

This is now very Famous in many parts of the world. People now buy "Robot Kits" which are basically the assembly parts of the small robot, a manual guide is included for the ease of people and this guide teaches you to create 30+ types/shapes of robots. These kits have different stage, by the ascending of each stage the robot gets harder to build, programming, etc. Now, coming towards the programming part you are given with such a wire that can connect to both the robot and to a PC where you are told of a programming software, provided by the robot company where you can easily program movements/commands for the robot to follow and then you can "export" these commands to the robot and then by the press of the switch the robot starts accomplishing the commands.

Don't you think the more robots we have then the more people will lose jobs. It must be fun making money from robots but I am not interested in robotic programming.

I haven't done anything with robotics but would be interested in buying one of those kits. Are there any particular kits that you would recommend?

I too, haven't done a lot with robotics but a robot kit is basically the assembly parts of the small robot, a manual guide is included for the ease of people and this guide teaches you to create 30+ types/shapes of robots. I don't really know if im educated enough about these robot kits to actually recommend any but i was recently told about this site: http://roborobo.co.kr.

So you can have a look here, this site may be in Korean but im pretty sure you can translate it to english and you may want to have a look at the different stages of the kits. I know that these work and are completely functional as I was shown in an event, recently.

After you have created the robot of what benefits will it be to you or you just need the knowledge.

I think after creating a robot ofcourse you will have benefits, if you try to put it on an exhibition there must be more than just a few people interested in buying your robot. People with much robotic knowledge have really really got some great money from selling their robots to either individuals or to companies.
