I can speak five languages fluently and I can manage to express myself in other three. Actually my traveling career has helped me a lot in learning languages spoken in different states of my country. Incidentally we have over 1000 languages spoken in our country and we have 22 official languages.

I started learning French at school and then have picked it up in bits and pieces over time, but I still forget things and I should really try and pick it up again.

Currently though, I am learning Welsh because I'd always been fascinated by the language when growing up, despite being English, not Welsh. It's opened my eyes to a whole new world of minority languages though and I'd be intrigued to learn Scottish/Irish/Cornish languages in the future. Some may say that they're not useful, but I'm not really fussed as I'm just intrigued in learning other languages!

Generally we speak hindi in India. But we are speaking marwadi which is reginal language andi can speak english too but there is no atmosphere like English so just regional and hindi..

Why did you quit?
If I were you, I'd soldier on until I acquire decent German skills. Who knows; you could earn from your multilingual skills at some time in life.
