5 Tips on How to Get Motivated When You Really Can’t

Life has its ups and downs. There are lots of reasons why you lose your motivation with life that you need to acknowledge one by one. If a person loses his or her motivation, they will start slacking in. they will start to stop what they started and might start another thing instead of finishing what they had started. They tend to lose their focus because the first thing they think is that they might fail because they just failed. Remember, without motivation it is lifeless. We all need certain energy to push ourselves to aim our goal. May these tips below will able to show you how to get back on track.

Acknowledge that Life is Always Interesting

Life is always interesting regardless you to have bored, have problems or you felt happy. There is always something to be busy at if you move your eyes around you. You will see lots of vendors in the street, they are selling food and everything they could sell under the sun. They will stay there from 6 in the morning and will go home even during midnight. That is really interesting, right? How can they get their motivation from doing it? Think about it.

Small, Realistic and Helpful Goals Is a Must

Everyone has a goal that they like to achieve. You cannot set a goal of having to buy your own car when you know you can’t even pay the down payment. To make it worst, you are unemployed. You must be in high spirit when you make this goal if you are in a situation above. If your goal is to have a car this year and you are unemployment, for sure you will lose your motivation once it will not happen. Don’t fool yourself. Have small, realistic and helpful goals. If you will not assess seriously what goal that fits you, instantly your motivation is lost. Start with small goals like having a job. Have it realistic by looking for a job, have a salary and save money. The ladder going to a bigger goal is the helpful goals that will guide you to have it.

Be True to yourself and Find things you will enjoy along the Way

Being real means you are not doing any false promises to yourself. Everyone needs the motivation to move towards your goal. If you feel like you are losing it, you need to always remember how you started. Also find time to reflect on some moments where you felt it is hard to live without money to scare yourself that if you will not get back and be motivated, it will be more difficult this time. Sometimes, you lost your motivation because you are already burnout from what you are doing. There is something wrong with your ways so you need to change it. Insert something that will make happy, that will make you excited again. Reward yourself when you meet your daily goal. It does not have to be big things, a small one would do.

Look for Inspirations

Your inspiration could be a person like you too. This could be a person who had started from scratch and successful nowadays. Learn from their story. Find the things they do on how to motivate themselves. People are always looking for some good example. If you don’t have then you need to find one. You never know maybe it is the only way to get back on track.

Reflect on Who You Are Before

Who are you before? Do you like yourself before? Do you take a risk before? If you are motivated before and made a good result, then be like before. If you don’t like what you are before then you need to do everything to not do the same mistake again. If you can do it before, there is no reason why you can’t be that person again. People grow and that is how you supposed to be.

Gosh, I badly needed to read something like this. So thanks for sharing your thoughts! I think finding for small and realistic goals and reminding myself on the things I love to do and my current priorities are some of the things I really need to put my mind to these days.

Thank you. I keep reading on this post because I am thinking if I got to emotional. Didn't it? I hope not. I made this post because it is my way to get back to my motivation. Being motivated has its integral part on our goal. It is the flame that is keep us burning, fuming and we must entertain it.

If you look at life as an eternal search for happiness, I know for sure you will never ever frustrated to get it going. That is a motivation in action - a pursuit for happiness. No one would be willing to be sad, to be problematic, to be stressful. A happy person never gets discouraged or immovable. He keeps on going, keeps on doing what is good to sustain the happiness that is within himself. As what the line from the popular song, "Don't worry. Be Happy", it is, for me, the greatest motivation for a person to get inspired always.

I know the song and I sing it, sometimes. The secret is to always move, find things, learn new things, believe that you could do the impossible, remember what you are before and then for sure you will get your motivation back.

No, not at all. Although, while reading it, I had the impression it was more of an outlet for yourself while also helping others who may have been going through the same journey as you do. Don't worry - I do the same sometimes :) Writing is an outlet and it helps us to realize certain things about ourselves as we put the words.

Very good pointers, sis! Thanks for sharing :) I absolutely agree, you have to be realistic and avoid the stress of being bogged down with goals you have no means of ever achieving. I believe setting small goals makes it easier for you to achieve some if not all of them, as opposed to punching way above your weight by setting them too high. The latter can lead to unnecessary stress and further demotivation.

I think making a habit to see opportunity in every bad thing can be a good habit. And this habit can bring the rest of inspiration. and this may set the life. Often it affects how the life is viewed. So good habits lead to less negative thinking.

Good tips.. it will help us to be motivated..we are social and there are lot of motivation for us to be. But we cant do because our mind is on wrong track. Really we know better about whats is good or bad but there ar a lot of question are in our mind because our mind wants to be in merry in joy. So we need to fight with our mind that i will do it & i will be success

Small doable goals are better rather than plotting tasks you will more likely fail to do (or stress to complete) especially if you don't have all the resources to complete it. I think it is a common newbie mistake to bite more than we can chew - been there, done that. :lol: And while I may have finished everything, the journey was not enjoyable. I got too stressed!

Setting small goals and start with small goals and making it happens really help, instead of having small goals then bigger goals. It all started with small goals because you can study yourself on how you will come so far. :)

Amazing topic.. we need inspiration to be motivated . I have to do something so i needto be positive and prepared. I seen some motivation videos in YouTube so they lead me to think atleastwhat i am doing..
We all are guiding all but we cant guide ourselves because we dont have a reason. Just guess ur in a desert and u didnt drink a drop of water from last 3 day tgen we got a reason to survive and we will drink the urine. Many people did this.. i hope youseen discovery chennel..

I agree. This is a good point too. Develop a habit of seeing good in bad things and to do it always. It is like finding a reason and continuing your purpose in life.

I agree on the part that we can work on our mind to get us motivated. To be exact, it is all about mind setting to always remember your goal and what needs to be done in order to get the work done.

These are all good tips! I agree with having small and achievable goals, though it's also good to think BIG. I always like to get inspirations everywhere from anyone or anything too. Sometimes, when we are mindful and we'll easily find something that inspires us.
