List of Entry Level Transcription Jobs

Postby thisnthat » 14 Oct 2016, 22:43

I just came across this list of 30 places that hire beginner's for transcription. Some are US only but some are for everyone. This list gives a nice little break down of each one as well as giving some tips for easier transcribing.

Thank you for sharing this! I know some that are great with transcription jobs and I will forward this link to them.

As for myself, I get too irritated and not patient enough to sift through the noises! I also am on the run a lot between my house and my mom's house, plus a teenager :)

How I wish some of these sites have high quality, discernible audio files!

I once tried my luck at transcription. I was however put off my the low quality test audio files. It is just terrible.

Thanks for sharing, thisnthat :) I have previously toyed with the idea of doing transcription work, but wrote it off because a lot of people said it was very hard work and also time consuming. But the thing that put me off the most was bad audio. I'm ok with most accents, but I just don't know how they expect people to transcribe barely audible audio files. But times are hard, so I'll have to now re-visit this idea LOL

Some of the sites on the list only prefer the US based workers. So it's understandable. It's pity I can't qualify at the sites which are meant for the high pay but only for the US based users. Thanks for sharing the list though.

Yeah, I find transcription to be a bit tough as well, so I like that these are open to newbies. I liked the tips for making it easier, plus some tools to use, as well as the long list and review of each gig. I hope it will be helpful for some. I will probably look through it some more myself.

Yes, I'm sorry some of the offers are only US, but not all of them are.
