More changes at BlogBourne

Postby Lexi » 10 Oct 2016, 22:24

I just noticed a new update on the website (yesterday), in that all potential writers must now submit a sample first.
http://www.blogbourne.com/forums/topic/ ... on-filter/

In addition, they are checking all earlier posts and may return them to the writer to rewrite, or delete them, so those with earlier posts be aware that this may happen.

This is how the owner of the site (Ople) worded it:
"We’re also checking posts during our early days and moving some published posts back to draft for the writer to repurpose or use in other sites."

I'm not sure this will help with SEO, and I wonder how many people are still submitting posts?

The only post I ever published there was a post introducing myself and I know that posts like that are no longer wanted, so I guess they'll be returning that one. Oh well, I guess that will cost me about $0.03 - no big deal as I'm never likely to make enough to cash out there anyway. I often wonder why I ever signed up in the first place.

I have forgotten if I have posted in Blogbourne or not yet. If they are getting strict with the posts, maybe they are also increasing the payments? Or do they pay now?

That is good to know although I didn't post anything there. I am glad that I didn't since I know mine would be returned to me. Are they figuring this is why they were lacking a larger sum of money from their advertising? I hope that those that choose to stay do good there.

I wonder why they made such decision. Do they have a better plan to make it a professional writing site? It seems like they are not having good activities on the site, and now they add the filter to keep others from joining and writing there.

I suppose there are still supporters for this, as some people think this is a better direction to go. :)

I just checked, I have written two posts there. Perhaps I should just delete them, to save them time to review my posts, since I am not going to rewrite them anyway.

They are making even normal things now complicated. And I used to stay away always from such complicated things. So no way I can rejoin my work on this site.

I think they are planning to close down so making it look like as if they are returning those posts for review. I am sure they have already found out that this website will not be feasible for either writers or owners.

Yes looking from the earning of first few months, I don't think this can survive like this.

I also thought the same way you do specially when they say you can delete your posts and use them elsewhere.

I don't know what standards they want to achieve. In any case, there are hardly any writers who are still writing there. And this move will dissuade the ones who are still active there.

You can't say there are no writers, because I read 2 posts written by one of the top writers of that site yesterday who supported that site saying that BB is future of writers. I was so sorry to note that I was not among them :)

The post that caught my attention was the one from our new friend at LB who is a fervent supporter of BB saying that BB helps her in editing and amending her posts.

No wonder no writer wanna to submit post during the past 2 days. They should not do this which is meant they are withdrawing their promise.
This move will make many users, include me lost confidence to the site.

Has anyone being paid yet? If not I think this could be a way of reducing number of writers who shall qualify for payments.

There could be a couple of reasons, but it maybe an attempt to increase the value of the coin by reducing the amount of coins that have been generated.

I can see why they are doing it, but it doesn't seem very professional. It will mean some people will have less coins and make it harder to cash out. However, limiting writers and making the conditions similar to that of joining a content mill is making it seem less of a place for blogging and purely a place for SEO articles.

Wow, I don't believe they are moving the goal posts yet AGAIN!! This is one site I'm glad I never joined because I'd be getting pretty MIFFED at all these changes.

@Decentlady....I think you could be right in saying this is their way of wriggling out of paying people. It would be interesting to hear from those who've been paid, because so far I don't recall anyone coming forward. In as much as I hate to say it, this site was always a non-starter, for me!

I guess they have financial issues now that they are adding more conditions. I guess they need to focus more on content now. This way they can raise the rates and also make better platform that benefits them too.

I have deleted all my posts there, and whatever points that I have earned were through other activities in the beginning. I haven't looked at that site for a long time.

The two guys that launched the site didn't show confident in themselves by managing the site and gave it to moderators/editors to do whatever; and now they want to edit older posts? Has the editor come back to the site yet?

They must be weaving out posters to bring down the points earned!!!

Yep, I didn't bother with it, since they didn't even start off paying. I was waiting to see how the promise of payments turned out. I've yet to see anyone say they have been paid a dime. Now, they're deleting posts. It's a bit late in the game to change the standards, yeah?
