Thats makes the three of us. I have been on a lookout for years but always either encountered scams or landed up on PTCs and captcha entering in the name of data entry sites!

Yes@decentlady. I fully agree with you and that is because many people are out there to cheat gullible people like us.

I'd like to work on that if possible too. I have just checked out Truelancer mentioned in another thread, and found there is data entry category. I wonder if we can find some legit data entry jobs via those freelance sites.

I have been looking for simple data entry work since deciding that I was going to work online, and I have never been able to find anything that pays a decent amount of money, unfortunately.

Be careful as some are looking for Data Entry, but in the description it tells about transcription that you will edit the grammar before submitting it. If you are not into editing and have an average grammar then it will feel tedious to you. I found some at Truelancer. Some of the data entry sites available online are giving 0.01 for 1000 captcha codes, so tedious again.

You can also find a lot of scams in data entry field. Most of them ask for an entry fee. They try to lure us by promising high returns once you register with them. As you can imagine, once you pay them you are not going to get anything.

Yes you are right Many of the site give transcription work in the form of data entry. Transcription is also not easy You have to pass some tests before starting the work. Its so difficult.

That's the kind of online job I have been looking for ever since. However, captcha sites always appear to me whenever I search for data entry jobs.

I did try to find such site, but never succeeded in doing so... most are just scams. But you can find some legit work via freelancer I guess.

Interesting.
So, what is this captcha code thing?
What skills does it need?

You only need typing skills to do captcha job,you need to solve captchas very fast. It is a tedious and boring job and not worth for our time.

Are you kidding?! I wonder if someone join such site and go for it. 1 cent for 1000 captcha is almost nothing. I surely would not work for anything like this.
