I don't use any on my iPhone. I guess there can be problems with web browsers on most operating systems, but I don't personally know of anyone using antivirus software on their phone. Is there a particular reason you think you need it?

I use Avira anti virus for my smartphone and laptop. At the moment Avira could scan any viruses but if you are looking for malware virus, you should try Malwarebytes.
This is a good site for stopping malware virus from attacking your smartphone and popping out unwanted ads or messages.

I used Avast on my Samsung before, but now with an iPhone I don't have antivirus on it. Avast did a good job for me before, but I am not an adventurous person when it comes to phone usage. I only use it for calling and texting, or checking in to my emails when a job comes through.

I always use AVG antivirus. This was recommended by a friend of mine that works for a wireless phone carrier store.

I don't use antivirus on my IPHONE.

I very rarely use it for the web because it is too hard to read and use the screen.

I don't use it on my IPAD.

I was told, though, that as Apple became bigger it would just be a matter of time before they would be forced to use an antivirus.

Does anyone know if Safari uses a built in antivirus?

I would never use an antivirus on a smartphone, if you don't download anything fishy then you probably won't have any viruses. It just bogs down your phone, making it really hard to use.

I don't use antivirus on my phone. If you are using android phone then I think you just have to watch which apps you install and what permissions they need. Its not like a pc on which a virus can run itself on its own. It will only affect your phone if you install it yourself.
And if you own an iphone then you dont need an antivirus at all. All the apps on apple's app store are thoroughly checked for security and anything suspicious wont even get featured on the app store.

I use Avast on my smartphone just because it offered to protect my smartphone since I have it on my desktop. Works for me. I don't really see a huge need for an antivirus on my smartphone, but at least it's there.

Having used Kaspersky for more than 6 years, I'd vouch for this product.
This product is easy to use and is also relatively cost-effective.
I've also not had major issues while using Kaspersky.

Interesting posts here.
Several FCners have stated that they don't use an antivirus program on their iPhone devices.
Does this mean that iPhone devices do not need antivirus programs?

I did not use any kind of antivirus for my cellphone but my niece recently installed 360 security on my cellphone, I guess that's all I have, although I have still no idea what and how it works.

I did not know avast has a free version.
I downloaded AVG (free) for my phone sometime back.
But, I'm being constantly harassed to upgrade to the paid version.

I never use any antivirus software on my smartphone for the simple reason that I do not visit sites I consider risky.

Interesting.
I also have installed the free version of AVG.
From your post, I guess AVG is a good performer.
