ForumCoin daily limit re-setting?

Postby Angie10 » 28 Oct 2015, 17:59

Just a quick question...I was on here I think on Monday when I noticed that the number of posts I'd made re-set and went from 8 to 1! I carried on regardless and posted 2 more, to make my daily limit of 10 posts. Was there anything wrong with the system, and did it happen to anyone else? TIA all :)

I think it might have been related to the clocks going back a hour (the end of British Summer time) on Sunday in the UK and the server time automatically changed aswell to keep in sync. I think that may have cause some slight anomalies although now it should be back to normal now :)

Sorry about any problems!

It always pays to allow for changes in time in different zones and this is a perfect example of what can go wrong. Leave plenty of margin allowance in your schedule.

Thanks for the explanation, @CyberFreak! Duh....of course, that makes perfect sense LOL It's weird because it never occurred to me at the time. I was too busy thinking of all sorts, including what have I done to break it, is there a technical glitch etc LOL Yet I knew the clocks went back Sunday and ForumCoin is in the UK. Oh well, I'll know for next time, for sure :D

Ah, that's why my post count hasn't reset yet! I totally forgot about the time changing in the UK and Ireland. I'm glad I looked in here to see if anyone else had been having similar problems. I'll stop worrying now.

I moticed it too. My clock re-set at 7AM Philippine time which is 12:00AM. Now when I started posting to compLete my daily limit, the number of post I created did not change, so I had more time to complete the allowed 10 posts per day.

Oh, how funny, I would not have known about the re-set, wonder if i would have even noticed, sometimes I don't pay attention to see if reset or not.

Since I stay in India, and due to the time difference, before i wake up in the morning, everything was set right and the time was back to normal and was showing my post count as zero . So i dont even know that any such thing happened untill i see this thread. :D
