GEN Z and Politics

Postby bestwriter » 23 Sep 2025, 12:48

If what we saw in Nepal is an indication where GEN Z ousted the present government with violent protests will this be a norm where GEN Z is involved?

Have you read or witnessed such protests by GEN Z elsewhere in the world?

What comes to your mind? Is the mindset of the young devoid of emotion and consideration?

What happened in Nepal you can read it here

Gen Z ended many politicians in Nepal, and they also did the same in Indonesia, and they will probably do the same in France. And the Gen Z in the Philippines also had enough of corruption. And I have a feeling that the Gen Z in the United States might be next because of the recent incidents.

It looks like the GEN Z fever is spreading globally and this is surely not a healthy trend.

That is not also not advisable as we all see what is happening in the US. No one is talking about what
Trump does there

Just followed Nepal and Indonesia. They are also trying to evict their government. And I think Iran is also close to that because the Iranian women are tired of being forced to wear hijabs against their will

As long as what they do is in the interest of the respective countries I wish them success but not at the cost of losing lives

The Nepal incident illustrates the general anger and strength of Gen Z when they feel politically marginalized. While some have turned violent, many are trying to initiate peaceful protests and open dialogue.

We have also seen Gen Z globally leading campaigns for climate change, gun control in the US, and democracy in Hong Kong. They are using social media to spark social debate and collaboration rather than violence.

Their roots are justice, compassion, and a desire to be heard. They cannot be silent or indifferent; they want positive influence. We can help by providing a platform for dialogue, fostering collaboration, and guiding them towards peaceful action for a better future.

The incident was a "blip" in our American news media. Did they settle the matter that fast?

Basically, what happened to Nepal is they were able to kick out all the corrupt politicians. Although, there are casualties. They accidentally killed the Prime Minister's wife. But yeah, all of them are now out of Nepal. And the Gen Z made an election via a Discord server.

There is also protest in UK right now because many British people have enough of migration because they are afraid that the Muslim immigrants will outnumber them someday because you know most British people rather have dogs than babies while Muslims have four wives and popping babies left and right. So yeah, there's a protest in UK right now to stop Muslim immigration.

AMAZING!
In Nepal, they use Discord for elections to build a better government.
In America, Discord is used to plot shootings or terrorist acts and overthrow the government.

That's what one of my kids told me. But the people getting arrested who were on Discord went beyond playing a game.

I don't think it's a generational thing. It's pretty specific to what is going on in Nepal. It does tend to be younger people who get involved in political protests, which makes sense since older people are more likely to be part of the status quo and have more to lose.

Bear in mind that the title of the article you linked to is misleading.
"They called themselves “Gen Z”—a label that somewhat obscures the fact that one of the protests’ organizers, Sudan Gurung, a philanthropist who leads the non-governmental organization Hami Nepal, is a thirty-six-year-old millennial. "

They are not in the majority, and their protests tend to be met with larger counter protests, like at the march in Bristol in the link below.
"Anti-immigration protesters have staged a march in Bristol and clashed with counter-demonstrators.
A group of around 100 people marched between The Cenotaph and College Green in the city centre, waving flags, with around 300 counter-protesters stationed nearby.

It's specific and generational.
Specific to what's happening in that country.
Generational in the sense that in every generation there's always somebody (supposedly) “older and wiser” who knows how to harness the mind power and physical energy of the youth FOR CHANGE!

Because the young of every generation always believe they'll be the ones to change the world. :D

Whether old or young, we all hope the change is for the better.

Thank you for sharing the article about the situation in Nepal. It's indeed concerning to see how social movements, particularly those driven by Gen Z, can escalate to violence, raising questions about their emotional and ethical grounding. I've observed similar trends in various parts of the world, where young activists push for change with intensity, sometimes leading to unrest. While their passion is commendable, it’s crucial to balance that with dialogue and constructive action to foster a more peaceful path toward progress.
