The kids are often much smarter than many adults when it comes to being tech-savvy.
Frankly, I just think this is a "reaction" by companies to say "See! We're protecting your kids and keeping them safe." It's to avoid being sued by parents (parents who should have been watching their own kids and keeping them safe).
