Indian Subhanshu Shukla eyes history through Axiom 4 space mission

Postby arunima » 25 Jun 2025, 06:34

The countdown has begun. And Subhanshu Shukla who is playing a key role of pilot on this mission is going to make history. He would be the second Indian to go in Space along with other three space astronauts. The whole country is cheering for him. It's a big milestone in Indian Space History to send person in space.
The first Indian to go in space was Rakesh Sharma. He did it in 1984. Subhanshu was born in 1985. He got his inspiration from Rakesh Sharma. And now his journey would aspired generations.
We had few people from Indian ethnicity going to space earlier but they didn't have Indian passport

This is very interesting. As far as lunar or moon landing mission, there are 5 nations which have done this.

The y are as follows: the United States of America, Soviet Union now Russia, China, India and Japan.

For Indian this is the 2nd mission. Goodluck to Subhanshu Shukla of India.

A very historic achievement!
Space Travel needs a very fit mind and body which can adopt to the rigors and challenges of aspects like zero gravity.
He is the second one after Rakesh Sharma - 41 years and he is also one of the astronauts meant for the Indian mission of Gaganyan.

I keep following the news everyday in our newspaper. There us always something related to it. His calls to his family, his talk with our Prime Minister and today it's about him growing Methi ( fenugreek) and Moonglow sprouts there in space. It's interesting to read them. Soon, he will be back and then be a part of India's ambitious project Gaganyaan. We pray for his safe journey back
