When you do not have a man or a woman, how can you fill the void? How about journaling?
I do not journal, personally. However, journaling seems to be the craze. I do have pen and paper with myself in case my mind comes up with a really good topic. If not, I would forget. To tell you about my forgetfulness, a few nights ago, I turned on a Joyce Meyer sermon on my laptop. The topic had been, “What About Me”. I cannot remember a word from the sermon.
I can call my freelance writing a form of journaling. I write about topics and my feelings.
To get you started, maybe I can come up with some topics for you to journal about. Good?
What does love mean to you?
Who can you do a random act of kindness to today?
Who is a role model to you?
If you could have any career, what would it be?
What is your biggest regret?
Who made you laugh recently?
What are you the best at?
What energizes you?
When did you ever step out of your comfort zone?
When have you ever felt deeply grateful?
When were you proud of yourself?
Who is a person who inspires you?
When have you apologized?
When have you had to let go of a dream?
What are 2 ordinary things that bring you joy?
Where is your happy place?
What is 1 thing that you like to do alone?
What is 1 small thing that you love about yourself?
Who understands you more than anyone else?
Now that you have the topics, let’s get even more creative!
Hop on YouTube and listen to the following journaling music to listen to while you journal!
Go shopping at the local dollar store and stock up on colorful pens, highlighters, post-it notes, memo pads and of course, journals!
Keep pen and paper at your side when going to bed. This is when we feel most lonely. Feel lonely during the day? Grab a glass of wine, a blanket and a comfy pillow if during the winter season. If summer season, grab a sweet tea and write indoors with a nice cool breeze from a fan or air conditioning!
I have taught myself quite a few lessons while writing this article. I hope that you can learn some lessons too in filling the void.
