Re: Chat & What Did you do today? - How was your day?

I found a job that I want to apply for. Crossing fingers because it sounds a lot better than my current job. I am really sick of having to stay late all the time, and not getting my breaks when I am supposed to.

Today I'm going to forget about work for a while and practice some circus tricks in my backyard. I've got a new juggling stick and some other stuff to play with. :)

I frequently suspect I forgot to buy something when I go shopping. I make it fun anyway. I ask someone walking by if they know where it is. They look a bit confused and ask where what is. I respond with "whatever it was that I forgot and will get killed for if I go back home without it." I ask just for the fun of it even if I didn't forget anything. I often get suggestions and end up trying something new. There have been times just the question/answer exchange with a complete stranger is for fun. Not stupid. Just a quirky sense of humor.

As for work, as of today, I finally got all properties in my work list cleaned up after the hurricane back in September. From here on out it is back to regular maintenance until some other disaster makes a mess of everything. Other than rain delays, I actually have the next two days off!

Had two lessons this morning and then watched my football team play in the afternoon. On tv, that is because I'm NOT in the UK. Yay, we won 3-1!!! <3 I was so nervous going into the game but our lads ground out a comfortable win. I'm totally made up!!! <3

Bless you @Fergal and @cyberfreak! The blessed Virgin Mary also! I finally have access to FC! I have been forbidden for quite a few days! I pray that the malfunction does not happen again.

I have missed all of you! Did you miss myself?

;) ;)

I'm glad you have access again! I haven't been around here much myself.

Yesterday was my last day at my job. I don't have another job yet but I quit anyway because it was awful and I'm sure I can find something better. For now I'm going to rest a little.

I really need to clean out the kitchen fridge tonight. I had a huge bowl of oatmeal that I just threw away. There was no way that I could consume all of the oatmeal.

I really want to prepare some macaroni salad tonight too. What is weird is that I cannot chew all pasta. (due to dental work).
For example, I cannot chew on elbow but can chew on rotini!

My roommate bought myself a new Bella chopper recently (as I had lost the lid to the one that we used to have). So, I can dice carrots and celery for the macaroni salad easily!

What other pasta dishes can you think of for grab and go?

By the way @Jem Smith, many blessings to you on your job search.

I was awake in the middle of the night so I'm a bit tired today but I had a really good book to read so I ended up finishing it.

Late here and I am going to prepare my planned macaroni salad in the morning with no-bake peanut butter oatmeal cookies too.

It's been a busy day for me... housework, planning lessons, cooking for the week and a bit of football in between.

I did some gardening this morning since it was lovely weather for it. I have a cold though, so I have spent the afternoon resting and reading a book.

I always like to have Hammy Sammy for when I really need to have a grab and go meal without any moments to cook. Earlier, I was starving and devoured 2 Hammy Sammy. I then had a sweet tea. Satisified!

Do you have grab and go meals?

Often, if I cannot find an item, I ask a person who I think works there and the person says, "I don't know! I do not work here!"

That happens a lot in customer service. People often get confused if someone is wearing an outfit that looks a bit like the uniform of the store. Often when I'm at the library people think I work there, I suppose because I seem to know my way around. Usually I can help them to find what they are looking for so I don't really mind unless they are rude. Sometimes they think they can leave their children with me, and then I have to be like "hey, no, you need to supervise them". I guess it's my teacher vibes.

Today I have a bit of a cold so I'm taking it easy, although I did some more gardening this morning. I have planted some more herbs and tidied up the garden beds, which were full of weeds. Later I'm going to put some tree seedlings.

Nice easy Friday for end of work days. In plans kids should go on trip but bad weather delay it so we had regular class.

Thanks to Trump, I've become very active on social media.
I spend half the day exercising my free speech in protesting against his KLEPTOCRACY.

My words may fall on deaf ears.
But I'm saying them anyway!

I had 3 lessons earlier, after which I just chilled because I'm full of a nasty cold. I just don't feel like doing ANYTHING.

I hope you feel better soon.

Today I need to clean my house. Trying to motivate myself by putting on some music.

I am devastated. My library staff and I are close. If a cookbook is due soon, the staff always tells myself.

Today, I got a letter from the library stating that I owe $28.00!

I had dreams of doing my cookbook reviews there Monday thru Friday. The staff even told myself that I can use a private room.

How would you feel? Just take all of my loaned cookbooks to the library and review online cookbooks instead? :( :(

Why do they say you owe them money, have you got books out that are overdue? It's great that you are friendly with the staff, if you in and talk to them, they may be able to work something out for you.

I went to the library yesterday as soon as I had transportation. The branch manager who I am close to could not figure out how I got such a letter. She threw the letter away and said that my cookbooks are not due until June 12. I know, strange, but a blessing.
