What are you doing for Easter?

Postby Jem Smith » 18 Apr 2025, 00:54

Do you celebrate Easter? If so, how? Do you get time off from work? Do you go to church, or relax at home? Do you have any special food traditions?

Seriously I think I don't even notice that it was Easter period because I go to work everyday and I ensure focus on my work place until a friend ask me if I can remember it's Easter

Here we have a 4 day weekend because Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays.

I'm sick at the moment so I had a quiet day for Good Friday, but I will have lunch with my family on Sunday.

Usually I go at my brother and we spend it together or to my sister. This year we will stay at each other place. Even we live nearby and he call me, I know he need rest. I need it to. It will be almost as regular Sunday.

I'm Christian but don't really celebrate Easter. The most celebrating I've ever done is stuff my face full of Easter eggs and hot cross buns. This year, not so much... I'm staying away from all the goodies :D CHILLING is the name of the game... I don't have many lessons booked and even less work, so I'm taking it easy and recharging my batteries because I've been feeling like I might just burn out!

Fair enough. Recharging your batteries is an excellent use of time off.

I returned from a short vacation and was heading home on Easter. I had just bought some roasted chicken and afterward watched a good movie. Hehe

My roommate, her sister and her boyfriend had lunch here. She would not be here to cook and gave strict orders on what to do.

The 3 wanted ham. I do not like ham (except for Hammy Sammy which is prepared with bologna) and had never cooked a ham before!

I was up all night, making sure that I would not mess up.

I was wanting lasagna for myself and gave the hint to my roommate but she gave no reply when we had been shopping for groceries before Easter.

Anyway, for myself, I prepared tuna soup and egg salad for sandwiches. I began with consuming the tuna soup and had 2 huge bowls! I was so full that I could not consume any egg salad sandwiches!

Today, though, my roommate said that she was embarrassed of the kitchen! Unreal!
