Re: FreeBitco.in - The Most Trusted Bitcoin Faucet

I am having a problem with this faucet. I tried to change my BTC withdrawal address. It says they are supposed to end a confirmation link to my email. But they never send it.

I contacted them TWICE. They sent an email and said they are working on it. That means they have my correct email. They never got back to me. It's been several weeks.

Changing a BTC address is something simple to do.

If they can't do that, then _______??
I will never recommend them to anyone.

I used this faucet because others praised it.
It figures that as soon as I try it, I have a problem!
There's always a black cloud that follows me around.

@cmoneyspinner That sucks. I wonder if that could have been avoided by having 2FA active, but now it's too late as activating it would require confirmation by email.
I noticed that the newsletter emails have also reduced for the holiday season (only got one since Christmas).
I can only hope they fix the service emails soon.

@Warfare - Do you own this platform and know the owner? I would like to know how to get my problem fixed?

@cmoneyspinner No, I'm just an user. As far as I know, the owner is someone named "wetsuit" on Bitcointalk. There is another user named "CSFBC" on that forum that handles support.
They also have a X account: https://x.com/freebitco

FreeBitco.in - The Most Trusted Bitcoin Faucet
THIS PLATFORM IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. THEY ROBBED ME!
THEY SAID I COULD MAKE A WITHDRAWAL ANY TIME.
BUT WHEN I TRIED TO CHANGE MY WALLET ADDRESS SO THEY COULD SEND BTC THEY WON'T CHANGE IT!!

THE ADDRESS THAT SHOWS AS MY WITHDRAWAL ADDRESS IS THE ONE THEY GENERATED FOR ME TO MAKE A DEPOSIT.

A DEPOSIT IS A DEPOSIT. A WITHDRAWAL IS A WITHDRAWAL.

That means if I used the WITHDRAWAL ADDRESS to withdraw BTC, it would go right back into the account on the platform. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

I read that something like that happened last year to some people from the daily jackpot leaderboard. They were big players, and some sort of script hack affected their withdrawal address.
Maybe it's related to it. FBTC has no excuse for not fixing their security hole, if this is what happened.
I checked my withdrawal address and it hasn't changed.

I gave up on this faucet and never looked back. I did not have a good experience.
Now I only use Cointiply and Buckify.
