I agree, I guess after sometime when they build their trust they go for a little higher amount and that's when they decide to not pay back

If they can just stay truthful then its fine as we can wait for a little longer for the repayment but they instead scam

Re: Do You Loan Crypto?

Anytime I offer a loan of any kind, I always make it a face to face transaction. When discussing repayment agreements, I make it clear that paying according to the agreed terms is considered "kneecap insurance".

"Don't miss any payment when due if you know what is good for you" is part of the verbal agreement but I don't put that part in writing. I've never had anyone miss a payment because I make them believe that part. Collections always come with a visible baseball bat. I have never actually collected any kneecaps. I just have fun watching the fear factor.

The only way I loan is if the situation and relationship are strong enough that I would consider it as a gift instead of a loan. That way if they fail to repay me, it does not trip any negative triggers and we go on as if it never happened. For all other cases, I would rather help them find a way to raise the funds themselves to keep us both out of a bad choice.

Even if someone promises to pay back double, there's no guarantee that they will follow through.

People that loan crypto to others don't know what they are doing. And if you do, don't go beyond $2 loan.

I feel its better to stick with those you know personally, even that can be risky so either stop doing it or do with some trusted users only
