Every once in a while, a roommate and I go to Subway as a treat.

I get an Italian BMT on Italian bread that is not toasted. I get everything on my sub, such as all the toppings, mayonnaise, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, etc.

We make a mess! How do we miss our mouths? I am clueless!

My favorite is the Big Kahuna Cheesesteak from Jersey Mike's and you would have to taste it to know why I am glad to pay the extra cost.

The best sandwich for me is a chicken sandwich. It was how my mother lovingly gave it to me during my childhood years. Now, I suddenly miss her. She died early this year.

Lately, I have been loving meat bologna. Only $3.99 a pound. A sandwich is only 160 calories!

I love when Catholic churches hold Fish Fries! Such events are just so darn expensive though.

My favorite just got passed up with a couple of tips I never know about.

It is now the Rueben, with sliced Corned Beef, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut and replace the Thousand Island with Horseradish and Mayo spread and instead of butter on the grilled side, use Mayo.

Pepperoni sandwiches and salami sandwiches. However, when having salami, I have to have lettuce too.

I can't believe that I did not tell you about this:

I love bread pizza! Only 188 calories for 2 pieces! (at least according to myfitnesspal.com)

1. grab your air fryer
2. in the basket, place an aluminum sheet
3. place 2 pieces of bread
4. layer 4 to 7 pieces of pepperoni (and mushrooms if you like) on each piece
5. then layer some mozzarella cheese on top
6. cook on 400 F for 4 to 5 minutes.
7. voila!

I have these almost every day. I am out of mozzarella and mushrooms. Not happy. The roommate picked up the pepperoni and forgot the mozzarella and mushrooms! grrrrr

I think that all of the subs look delicious! The next trip into the city, I can ask my roommate to stop by such restaurant. I have never been there.

My roommate knows how to sabotage my diet! She knows that I hate to waste food. So, if she is full or doesn't like a particular food, she says, "I'm going to throw it away..." Naturally, I finish her food. (only the untouched part)

A member on Weight Loss Buddy recently mentioned that he/she heard of a "sandwich diet". I guess some woman lost alot of weight by consuming lunchmeat sandwiches and salads. Have you heard of such diet?

A few of weeks ago, I gave my roommate's boyfriend a Hammy Sammy. A while later, he told my roommate that the Hammy Sammy was the best sandwich that he had ever had. Made me feel good.

All that you do is:

chop up a pound of bologna
chop up 4 pickles
Mix with mayonnaise
Spread on bread and on even crackers or even tortillas!

Frugal. Delicious. Satisfying.
