Shop Like A Billionaire?

Postby Lushh » 26 Jul 2024, 08:49

Temu says you can. I don't have an account on there, do you? Recently I came across a comment from a lady who said she ordered a couch for her living room and received a miniature (toy sized one). I couldn't help it, that thing cracked me up when I saw the image she posted online. She was funny about it too because she placed it right alongside the other furniture in the room.

I've seen some of their ads featuring electronics and clothing. The prices are low when compared to what these usually go for. Do you have first hand experience dealing with Temu? How has this been for you?

The electronics are not durable, not gonna buy again. Maybe the blankets and bedsheets are good

I haven't personally bought from Temu, but I've heard positive feedback from others who have.

We all make these mistakes, she should have checked the dimensions before buying it and cannot she return and get money back?

Lol, well she did mention that she will check the dimensions next time. Maybe it wasn't worth it to go through the hassle of sending it back, seems like she didn't pay much for it.

To be honest, a billionaire would not even think of going to some cheap site to make any purchases; ever.

A billionaire would consider whatever he or she wanted and go to a shop that has a reputation for absolute excellence and a billionaire would never even bother to ask the price. A billionaire would say if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it. A billionaire is not likely to even make the purchase him or herself. They would hire a professional purchasing assistant to make all the arrangements and know that whatever they ordered would be exactly what they wanted. A professional shopping assistant who works with billionaires would never make such a mistake.

So much for "shopping like a billionaire" What you describe is not even in the same ball park.

They just have that tagline because their products are so cheap you will feel like a billionaire because you can afford them

I've also never heard of Temu, is it available worldwide? Sounds like a good deal though.

Yea, this is what I understand it to mean. You'll be able to buy many things you otherwise couldn't. Who cares if they come in toy sizes? 😆

Electronics items must purchase with extra care, as once we purchase wrong one it will regularly causing problems. On the other hand blankets, clothes can be purchased without great research.

This is the first time I am hearing about them. Not sure if they have operations in India.
If the "Billionaire" tagline is theirs, I think that could disappoint many folks who would have too high expectations from them.

I've never known any billionaires personally or experienced how they shop, however, I do suspect that you are right.

I've known a couple of people who were millionaires and seen how they shopped. They were surprisingly conscious of price and went to greater lengths to get good value for their money, than most people I know who have much, much less money. They were very price aware, knew where their money was going and it was very important to them to get good value whenever they shopped. That was probably a factor in how they made their money.

I'm not a billionaire either, but we had several clients in our accounting firm with substantial very high incomes and holdings. Their average tax returns were more than a half inch thick. My comments were based on statements they made during their office visits and conversations. They most often did not care what it cost but they demanded that it was exactly as ordered.

I have never bought in Temu but with what I have been reading I honestly wouldn't do it, I understand that for the absurdly low price one cannot expect a quality product but I wouldn't buy a sofa there just to get a toy haha

I've bought from Temu before, I'm happy with everything I've ordered so far, and I've had no item mix-ups or anything. I bought a digicam from there, and while it's definitely pretty cheap, it works well. It has that mediocre sort of camera quality, but that's what I was hoping for haha.

I can see ads of Temu on Facebook but haven't tried buying from it. I buy things from Shopee instead. I make sure to read reviews before I buy anything. But even when I do that, most of the time, I am not satisfied with my purchase. That's why I prefer to buy from physical stores where I can see the product myself.

I'm a bit wary of Temu because I have heard it is not very secure. In general I try to avoid buying cheap stuff made in China anyway.
