I don't mind smartphones in gyms if they're only used for listening to music or podcasts while working out. However, I strongly oppose the presence of influencers with tripods filming their workouts for social media. It's frustrating to be treated as a background character in someone else's vlog or to be asked to vacate equipment for their videos.
Additionally, it's irritating when individuals attempt to monopolize locker room space for filming. These wannabe fitness influencers disrupt the gym environment. Therefore, I believe phone cameras, tripods, and selfie sticks should be banned in gyms to maintain a private space for those focused on working out rather than creating content. BOTH men and women!
