I think people should not get into a relationship with the main goal of using a person for their money. But since it's a private matter, I can't really be a judge.

An elderly person has lived long enough and should know how to make decisions about their personal relationships.

Let's say your oldest kid is 27 years old and single. You get hitched to a partner that's 30 years old. It's kind of weird. But who am I to say the relationship won't work.

I've heard that some rich old people marry a younger person just so they can leave their wealth to them because ... they hate their own family and don't want them to get any money!

We stayed together for close to 40 years through thick and thin. My husband passed away in 2019.

I'm just speaking from my own experience. I know people have completely views about marriage these days. That's how people are. When they don't like something they either ignore it or change the definition and rules.

There is a point you get to in life where people's opinions should be they'll leasy of your concerns. People have different priorities in life and if financial security is one's priority in choosing a spouse, so be it. They shouldn't be shamed for that.
