Favorite Soft Drinks

Postby Spontaneo » 28 Oct 2023, 03:52

I like so many diet soft drinks! It is too difficult to choose just one!

I like diet Sunkist, especially if I am craving a drink!

I like diet Coke, especially if I crave that rejuvenation!

Remember, this topic is about soft drinks and not coffee or tea.

I am not a fan of soft drinks, the only one that I drink once in the blue moon is 7up or Sprite.

I suppose caramel apple flavored energy drinks don't count as soft drinks?

I enjoy lemonade sometimes. I also really like fresh apple cider. There's a bottled beverage that I used to buy called Apfelschorle, which is essentially equal parts carbonated mineral water and apple juice. I haven't seen it around here in years (it was imported from Germany and sold at Trader Joe's), but it's easy enough to make.

Have you ever fixed your own lemonade mixed with apple juice?

There is a woman called JoAnna M. Lund who has tons of cookbooks. She lost about 100 pounds by tweaking her own recipes. She has even used Mountain Dew in some of her cooking! I know... odd but true.

I would say Coke, followed by Pepsi and then Fanta(an Orange drink).
Now a days, I have been trying to cut my soft drink consumption.
Earlier I used to had more frequently and brands like Limca, Mountain Dew, Mirinda and more.
Some are customized to Indian market among these.
Most are owned either by Pepsico or Coca Cola.

So Limca is also available in your country? I love it too because it has a great taste at an affordable price.

Way back in my own history, I used to enjoy Pepsi, Mountain Dew and 7 Up. I remember ginger ale, root beer and cream soda as occasional OK options . I tried a few others but even back then I didn't care for most other options and could not stand Coke or Dr Pepper. I don't even recall the exact reason I quit drinking any soft drinks, but it has probably been at least 30 years since I had any at all.

About a year ago, someone handed me a Pepsi. I remembered enjoying it all those years ago and went ahead and took a sip. I gagged. It was horrible. My favorite beverage has been just plain water for most of the time since I used to enjoy those old soft drinks and I'll just stay with it. Soft drinks no longer interest me at all.

Do you like water with lemon? I love to go to restaurants and have a water with lemon. At home, a water with lemon just does not taste the same.

Not at all. I hate it when restaurants stick a slice of lemon on the edge of the glass and even worse if they drop it right in. I send them back for a clean glass with no lemon. I never buy those little bottles of water that add to the giant litter problem.

I have a filtration system installed on my kitchen sink and always filter my water at home. I have been monitoring my monthly drinking water supply for several months and seem to average out to something around 12.5 gallons each month. Just plain water is my preferred beverage.
