Your favorite thing about your hometown.

Postby eldavis » 07 Jan 2025, 13:46

What's the one thing that makes your hometown so much fun and different from other towns? Is it the food, dressing style or how they relate with one another, or is it a particular joint you enjoy hanging out with your friends and loved ones?

Well, despite of being a desert, we have good irrigation here that I can farm vegetables, fruits, and animals. So even though I live in a desert, I have irrigation, I have water.

My hometown of Brisbane is built on a river, which has shaped the city's character. I like all the bridges and being able to travel around by ferry.

My town has an annual "Strawberry Festival" with a market, activities, and strawberry themed desserts. It was great but it sadly hasn't happened in a few years now since around the beginning of covid. :(
