Finding the right weighted blanket can be a challenge, especially if you tend to sleep hot or have trouble falling asleep. However, the comforting pressure and anxiety-reducing abilities of weighted blankets make them an ideal option for many people. The key is finding one with the right materials, weight, and size to keep you cool and comfortable all night long.

For Hot Sleepers

If you tend to sleep hot, breathable fabrics like cotton and bamboo rayon should be your top priority when choosing a weighted blanket. The Bearaby Tree Napper is a great option, made from moisture-wicking TENCEL lyocell that feels ultra-soft and smooth. Its knitted construction allows for plenty of airflow, keeping you cool even on hot summer nights. It's available in weights from 15 to 25 pounds.

Another excellent choice for hot sleepers is the Luxome Coolmax Weighted Blanket, which uses proprietary Coolmax fabric and a special diamond baffle box stitching design to promote breathability. It comes in both 15 and 20-pound options, in three colors including neutral white that won't attract and absorb heat from sunlight.

For Insomniacs

Weighted blankets can work wonders when it comes to reducing anxiety and promoting the release of sleep hormones like melatonin. But when tackling insomnia, having the right weight is key. The rule of thumb is to choose a blanket that's approximately 10% of your body weight.

The Luna Adult Weighted Blanket strikes a nice balance, with options from 15 to 30 pounds. It's filled with hypoallegenic, odorless glass beads that provide the comforting pressure your body craves. The 100% Oeko-Tex certified cotton outer shell is soft, breathable, and machine washable. Seven different layer colors allow for a fully customized blanket.

For Kids and Teens

It's important for children and teens to have appropriately weighted blankets sized just for them. The Quility Kids Weighted Blanket comes in vibrant colors and fun prints that kids love. Weights range from just 5 to 25 pounds for kids between 40 and 140 pounds. The 100% cotton shell is cuddly soft, while premium glass beads and polyester padding make it perfectly huggable for small bodies.

For Comfort Seekers of All Ages

Sometimes you just want to wrap yourself in a cloud of total comfort. That's where the Gravity Weighted Blanket comes in, thanks to its ultra-cozy velvet shell. This luxurious fabric creates sensory heaven whether you choose the 15 or 20-pound option. Square pockets evenly distribute and secure the glass bead fill, while eight beautiful colors let you match any decor. The Gravity Weighted Blanket proves that comfort and style go hand in hand.

With so many sizes, fabric options, and innovative designs now available, there's a perfect weighted blanket out there for anyone - regardless of if you sleep hot, struggle with insomnia, or just want to feel a little extra coziness. Take your time comparing blanket materials and construction to discover your ideal match. Then get ready to drift into deeper, more restful sleep at last!

I find it hard to believe that any kind of blanket could be comfortable on hot summer nights. When it's 35 degrees celsius or hotter at night the most I would have on the bed is a cotton sheet. I do love bamboo for its moisture wicking properties, and I have a bamboo nightie, but a blanket would just be too much.

Weighted blankets are nice in general though. I have a smaller one that I just use on the couch, but the full size ones that would cover a whole bed are so expensive.

Just searched and the Luxome blanket to fit my bed would be $230. That's USD, so in Aussie dollars like $400, and the shipping cost would be ridiculous, so that's out for me.

Didn't know about these types being honest. All I knew was to buy blanket or bed cover as an addition when seeking warms during the bad weather. Now that I know the differences, I will put that in mind.
