For example, Mailchimp is free as long as you are sending less than 2000 emails. This method will work only when you have built genuine email list, if you can collect emails from people who are genuinely interested in your website or business., email marketing will work for you.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is also free, however, for social media marketing to work for traffic and revenue, you need followers on your pages or groups. For example, if you have a Facebook Group or Facebook Page with 20k followers/members, you can get both traffic and sales by promoting your website or business on Facebook. Publishing high quality content is the key to build followers. You might also have to run ad campaigns to build following on your social pages.

Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of mouth is another free marketing method, sometimes it can be better than email marketing or social media marketing as it has high conversion rate. Let’s imagine you sold a product to a certain person, he likes your product very much. He talks about this product with his brother. His brother will buy that product because it was recommended by his own brother. Now, he also likes the product, he will talk about it to his friend and his friend also buys it. Word of mouth marketing means people will talk positively about your products services, and business voluntarily. When that happens, it will send positive signals to your potential buyers. Since the product is recommended by someone they know, they will be interested in trying the products. Word of mouth marketing is voluntary marketing services, you cannot force people to do a word of mouth marketing. People will do word of mouth marketing only when they are satisfied with the product they bought. This will happen only when you are offering quality products for a competitive price. You need to impress your customers. The more happy customers you have, the better will be the word of mouth marketing.

It took me 4 months to get the first job on Upwork, however, when I delivered my first job my employer recommended me to other people and I got more jobs. Word of mount marketing has worked for me well.

It's true that email marketing can help you without paying much if your list is small. Mailchimp gives you a free option for up to 2000 emails and that's enough for someone starting out. The key point is to build a genuine email list of people who are truly interested in your business or website. If you find that audience, your emails will have a clean impact and you won't waste time on people who don't care. Consistency and authenticity are what remain important for the growth of your marketing.
