Slim Fast: A Lifestyle

Postby Spontaneo » 20 Jan 2024, 11:15

Since the beginning of the new year, I began The Slim Fast Diet. I have since lost 11 pounds! I am very excited!

I have 3 mini meals, 2 shakes and 1 sensible meal each day. My drinks are mostly sugar-free with an occasional iced mocha or mocha as a treat.

My exercise consists of in-home walking.

A few tricks are the following…

When I drink water, I use Jordan’s Skinny Syrup or water enhancer to trick my taste buds. I imagine that I am having a fancy drink! I keep my water bottle with me mostly every where I go. Every day, I fill up a sun tea jar with water but no tea and stick in the fridge. Then, I am set for the day. Usually, I fill up my big water bottle twice.

I consume alot of sandwiches. Instead of having my usual Italian bread, I use Sara Lee bread which cuts the calories by almost 50%.

Then, I rely on an air fryer! I love fried potato wedges, kind-of like an addiction. Instead of frying in a ton of oil, I cut the russets up in pieces and fry in the air fryer on 400 F for 25 minutes. I do this almost every other day. They are very filling and satisfy any cravings for junk food. 1 potato is only 100 grams.

Next, quite often, instead of having salad dressing on my salads, I use oil and vinegar with salt and pepper. 2 capfuls of vinegar. 2 capfuls of oil. Don’t use too much oil.

Can’t walk? Move that body any way that you can!

Slim Fast comes in powder form, liquid form and little treats. Liquid bottles and treats are expensive. I only can afford powder form, which mostly comes in chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, etc. I buy chocolate which costs around $8.99 in grocery stores. You might be able to find a cheaper cost online.

There you go! I have done the work for you.

Everything from flavored water to sandwiches to salads to potatoes to your choice of exercise!

You are not going to starve. You are not going to gorge. To be honest, Slim Fast is called a “diet” but I consider Slim Fast a “lifestyle”!

Would you join me on this? I would love your input! Whether you are obese, overweight, just wanting to lose a few pounds… You can do it!

It could be good but in order to become slim and smart my preference remain to achieve my goal by real ways as by exercises and taking vegetables and fruits.

I am glad it works for you. I probably couldn't drink the shakes because I can't have dairy (I could make them with a non dairy 'milk' but it depends what's in them to start with, like whether they have whey powder). I also like to eat a variety of foods, with lots of fruit and vegetables, so I think it would get boring for me. It sounds like a good option for people who want to try it though.

Today at bingo, an acquaintance asked me how I lost weight. I was so caught off guard that I was not sure what to say!

I simply said, "Oh, I watch what I eat and drink".

Little did the acquaintance know that I drink Slim Fast shakes, have mini meals and a good size meal.

Little did the acquaintance know that I carry water with me everywhere! (While we were talking, my drinks were in a cooler on a bingo table!)

Little did the acquaintance know that I now keep my sodium below 2,300 g.

Little did the acquaintance know that I pray to the blessed Virgin Mary.

Little did the acquaintance know that my calories are below 1, 200.

I should be the poster child of Slim Fast. Yes, it works. Yes, it definitely is a lifestyle!

It would be good, but I can write better when I or any of my family member use it.

Do to the cost of my ever-blessed Slim Fast diet, I have been away from my Slim Fast for a while.

I told myself that's it! You can do this! My health is more important!

So I ordered Slim Fast rich chocolate royal! The shake mix arrived today!

The diet really does work but you need to keep at it. In other words, as a lifestyle.

My family physician weighed this poor girl last week. I weighed 159 pounds. I would like to weigh at least 150 pounds by the holidays. At least. Maybe 145 pounds?

I have learned that if there are occasions when I cannot afford Slim Fast shake mix, I simply prepare smoothies. For example, peanut butter and jelly smoothies. We all have PB & J, right?

Good for you. Yes, I believe in exercise. However, the only fasting that I do is religious such as giving up something for Lent (you know, fish on Friday) the whole Roman Catholic kind-of thing.

I am still preparing homemade smoothies instead of buying canisters of Slim Fast. I am doing really good too. I have a pitcher of Strawberry Peanut Butter waiting for myself for when I return home from my Thanksgiving trip.

Regarding the strawberry peanut butter pitcher of shakes? I got home and the pitcher was frozen! No other item in the fridge was frozen! I have not had a shake or smoothie since as I was so upset. I prepared iced mochas instead. However, I have to get over my anger and prepare a pitcher of smoothies today.

When I can afford my beloved Slim Fast, I shall return to the shakes. Such Slim Fast is alot more filling.

I do like smoothies, but do need a new blender!

Why does attempting to be healthy cost so much!?
