I am not completely educated in this area yet, but plan to be soon!
What is the topic, you ask? Essential oils, also known as aromatherapy.
You can find many scents, for different ailments, in stores or online, expensive and also cheap.
How do I use these essential oils? In an essential oil diffuser. I started out with an office size until the diffuser recently broke. So, I bought a newer and larger size at a local store for $16.99 (US currency).
I really like the scent of rose, but ran out and the store did not have any. So, I bought patchouli essential oil which a roommate says stinks. This is my bedroom office, right? The patchouli essential oil cost about $6.00.
I plan to purchase my essential oils online. However, a local Family Dollar sells fragrance oil. I did not think that fragrance oil could be used in a diffuser, but searched online, and found that it is safe.
I like the way how essential oils are calming, especially after a hard day. I liken it to listening to a library audiobook. My diffuser has a selection of 1 hour and 3 hours.
The most popular essential oil seems to be lavender. I am not sure why. They say it is somewhat soothing. Personally, I do not like the scent as find nauseating.
As soon as I have the spare moments, I plan to take free courses on aromatherapy via coursesity.com. I want to help people with their ailments with the use of essential oils. With coursesity.com, I am not going to have a prestigious title as with bircham.edu though. With bircham.edu, I could be a doctor of aromatherapy. However, the education costs a pretty penny. With coursesity.com, I would simply be an aromatherapist at no cost. What would you do?
What kind of ailments could you help with?
You can work people with everything from a bad back to anxiety! With bad backs, you can work with chiropractors to help people with massages and essential oils. With anxiety, remember the discussion earlier about lavender? Many people say that lavender helps with anxiety. Just buy a little roll-on or mist spray and apply some.
How does this apply to self-improvement? Not only are you helping yourself, you can help others too, especially if you are looking for a new field to get into.
Good luck!
