How to Find a Business Idea That Works For You

Postby Mika » 12 Sep 2023, 06:21

A lot of people want to start a business but they get stuck because they cannot find a business idea that they believe would work for them. If you have been on this shoe, I have some tips that can help you find a business idea that will work for you. The method has worked for me, hopefully, it will also work for you.

Finding a Business Idea

Basically, there are two ways to find a business idea.

Look around you what products are in demand, and what products are in short supply. Talk to people and find out what kind of problems they have, and think of a product and service that can help these people. Do research and find out what kind of products can help people. You can get ideas for your business based on your research. Once you have the idea for your business, you can then analyze what skills and knowledge your business idea requires. Start working on the ideas if you have the skills and knowledge, if not look for something else. Continue to do so until you hit the right idea.

The second method involves making a list of skills, knowledge, and expertise you have and then based on what you know or what you can do make a list of ideas you can work on. Let’s say you can use Photoshop. Make a list of things you can do as a Photoshop artist and based on what you can do, you will have an idea for your business.

Working on Ideas That Are Profitable

Running and managing a business requires different skill sets, therefore, before you settle on a business idea, you will have to analyze whether you have skills or not. You can go ahead only when you have knowledge and expertise. For example, if you have web development skills, you can start your web designing business.

However, it is not enough to get an idea, or have skills related to the idea, your idea should also be very profitable. Let’s say you have writing skills and want to build a business in this niche. You will have to analyze whether your idea is profitable or not and whether a writing-based business can make you money or not. Some products have a huge demand, some products are not in much demand. If your business idea is not much in demand, despite working hard, you cannot make profits. The idea you want to work on should have a demand in the market, and the product or service you intend to sell should have the ability to make a lot of money.

These are good tips to ponder. I always believe that the best thing to conduct first is the business feasibility study. In this way, you can determine if the business profitable or not.

Money will always be in short supply so collecting interest seems like a natural and it has been working for a few years for me. The skill of making a deposit to start earning can be learned in a few minutes by anyone.

Working on a New Side-Hustle

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

For most people investing and earning return on investment is better than starting their own business.
