How to Create a Digital Course That Sells

Postby Mika » 09 Jul 2023, 13:23

Let’s say you have created a course, how do you know it will sell? Or, let me put this another way around, you have an idea for a course, how do you know if the course will sell like hot cake?

The answer is simple.

The course you create should be able to help people by solving their people’s problems. The course you create should inform, build knowledge and help people to acquire new skills or enhance existing skills so that they are able to make profits.

So how do you do it?

The first rule of a digital course creation is finding a need and the second rule is to fulfill the need.

How to Make Money Selling Digital Courses?

Generally speaking, you can make money from a digital course in three ways:

Sell courses
Use courses to sell other products and services
Sponsorships, ads, and affiliate marketing

You can sell courses through your website or learning platforms. While selling courses from a learning platform requires you to rank on internal searches, selling courses from your website requires you to build traffic on your website. No matter where you are selling courses, your courses should be on topics that sell. Try to see what is in demand but in short supply, try to find out what people want to learn but are unable to learn (because courses are scarce).

Make Money From Free Course

You might be surprised, nevertheless, you can use a free course to make money. There is a simple way of doing it.

Offer the course for free and try to use the course to sell premium courses, products, and services. If your free course is really helpful to people, they will consider buying your premium courses as well as your products and services.

Monetize your course with ads. Since your course is free, people will tolerate ads and you make money.

You can also find sponsors for your course.

You can also do affiliate marketing through your course.

Promote your blog, youtube channel, or online store through your course. If you are offering valuable service for free, people would be interested in checking what you are promoting.

Conclusion

No matter what method you want to use in order to make money from your course, the first and foremost step begins with course creation, and the course you create shouldn’t be any random course, it should be something that sells.

A little bit of self-promotion

If you want to make money by selling courses but do not have the skills to create a course, or do not have time or patience to work on a course, I have an offer for you, please check the following link

Maybe I should repurpose some of my old tutorials here and make online tutorials in video form. Its hard to work on a tutorial that will only be buried by newbies who are obsessed on making their 10 post a day.

Great Idea. you can use text to video maker and create videos from your articles. If you choose 10 articles on similar topics you will have 10 tutorial videos that you can sell as a course.
