Self-Care

Postby Spontaneo » 06 Jun 2022, 15:15

Why is self-care important? You give your mind and body a break! You especially lower anxiety and stress.

I have a few ways listed to practice self-care. I hope you find them to be useful.

*Essential oils

Do you have an essential oil diffuser? If not, you should really an essential oil diffuser. Choose whatever essential is your favorite scent. Personally, my favorites are “Sweet Dreams” and “Rose”. eBay has the best selrection and costs cheap.

*Avoid toxic people

You know who they are. You do not have to say their names. The people who want to control you. The people who abuse you, whether mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. These people are just plain bad. You simply have to just leave.

*Take a siesta

Just lay down on your favorite bed, recliner or couch and rest! This is good for productivity!

*Practice a hobby

Color a coloring book. A scientific fact that this lowers stress. You can buy adult coloring books at Dollar Tree!

*Buy yourself something nice

Give yourself a little “retail therapy”! Even if from a thrift store! The more the merrier!

*Organize

Go through your house and did 5-minute tidy-ups every day! I was taught to do this by ClutterBug, a woman on YouTube. She is a guru of cleaning and organizing!

*Exercise

Are you a writer? Well, most likely you are because you are reading this article on ForumCoin! Is your lifestyle sedentary? Don’ get out a whole lot? Sitting on your butt? Then, take advantage of the indoors and do in-home walking! Leslie Sansone is the guru of in-home walking. She has books, CDs and DVDs called Walk Away The Pounds. Some are 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile, etc.

*Eat and drink healthy

Lower your carbs, sugar and calories. For example, I recently changed from mixing Swiss Miss hot chocolate in my coffee to create homemade mochas to mixing Jordan’s Skinny Syrups 0 calories, 0 carbs and 0 sugar in my coffee to create homemade mochas.

Teach yourself how to cook new recipes. Go to the library and borrow cookbooks then go to yard sales and buy cookbooks for a few pennies!

*Do Something Good For Someone

Yes, do something for someone, but do it in secret… kind of like a secret admirer.

Have you found any of these self-care practices to be to your liking? Can you think of any that I have left out?

Thank you for reading my article!

Do not meet them, do not accept their calls, ignore them if meet them, if toxic people are in your office, avoid talking to them if possible. If they try to be nice or funny, do not answer them. They will get the message very quickly. I show toxic people my black face.

Some very good tips. But I liked the tip about taking rest and chilling out.
I have been so tired and engrossed with so many things, I need a lot of rest!

When I work hard and get a nice pay, I buy myself things that I would not otherwise be able to buy.

These items can be anything.

Maybe drinks. Maybe clothes. etc.
