Ladies... If You Are Ever In A Funk

Postby Spontaneo » 08 May 2022, 17:37

Ladies, are you ever in a funk?

Do you feel plain? Do you feel ugly?

Do you feel unattractive or insecure?

Do you feel like men are not looking at you?

Is your man, if you even have a man, looking at other women?

Well, years ago, I read a book about a woman and her mother. Whenever the daughter was in a funk, her mother would tell her to wash her face and put on make-up! The daughter would then feel much better.

There are days when I think of this. When I was younger, I would not even think of leaving my family’s house without make-up.

I then got older.

A few reasons why I quit wearing make-up?

My boyfriend and I broke up.

(Who is there to impress?)

Make-up got expensive.

(I now have to buy my make-up at Dollar Tree for $1.25)

I taught myself how to apply make-up when I was a kid. I was a mature kid.

I liked the dramatic look. In the past, when I had had my make-up and hair done, I was told that I looked like Elizabeth Taylor.

About a few years ago, the funk set in. I went to Great Clips. The stylist chopped off my long hair. Right now my hair is at an in-between stage of growing in again. Meaning? I have to wear alot of baseball hats and headbands. Real attractive, right?

I now feel a funk. When I am finished with this article, I am going to wash my face and put on make-up. My poor hair style is just not happening.

Yes, I get attention when I am all made-up. Just goes to show how people are prejudice. Do people not understand that if you buy the good cosmetics, then your whole paycheck is spent?

At Dollar Tree, I buy mostly LA Colors make-up to choose from. LA Colors really is not all that bad.

Over 10 years ago, I met an Avon lady who told me to wear purple eyeshadow. She told me purple eyeshadow goes good with my eyes. I have olive green eyes. I have mostly worn purple ever since and Dollar Tree carries purple eyeshadow.

I have an uneven complexion and the Dollar Tree foundation does its job.

Ask for a free makeover when you can from a cosmetologist. Pay attention to the colors that they use. Did they use concealer? What shade of foundation? Did they use an eyeshadow that complimented? What type of eyeliner and mascara? Did they fill in your eyebrows? Did they wax your eyebrows? What color of blush?

So, just wash your face and put on some make-up!

I did not know what funk was until i read this article. I do not wear makeup because i have facial hair on my upper lips. I am used to it. I just use moisturizer and toner. That is all i need.

This has inspired me to wear makeup. Lots of people say I look 'bitching' when I wear makeup. so what the heck?
I'm mostly a lasy bum so I rarely wear any.

I love make up. I recently took an interest on it, learned how to apply it from YouTube video. I have to say the videos helped a lot, I wouldn't have known what to buy and how to protect my skin from being damaged by makeup.

I have since had my hair done in a Mia Farrow hairstyle.

I have not been wearing makeup.

I do not have a boyfriend.

My love as a Chief Writer has diminished.

I do not know who I should do something good for anymore.

I still have MyFitnessPal.com as a leader but hardly have any teammates.

I still have Priests For Life but I cannot be a lay associate as I do not want to step on all the wrong toes.

What do you think?

Why not, if it is something you believe in and are interested in, why not go for it and not worry about what others think?

Have you considered starting your own blog or website? What about walking for exercise, is that something you do?

Have you thought about joining a club? Maybe there is something in your area that would suit your interest, like a book club, or a choir? Maybe something food/cooking related, since you love recipe books? I don't know if the site Meet Up is a thing where you live, but here it's a good way to find groups of people with similar interests in your area.
