Pop Technologies that might extend our lifespan part 3

Postby Netherrealmer » 15 Jan 2022, 13:21

My life extension articles series had been one of my most successful article series. They both got monetized, so I will push my luck by making a 3rd. The Medical Industry is a Billion dollar business. Biotech doctors will get more prosperous than other doctors.

If a lifespan expansion technology you know is not on the list, you could see the other ones in the first two parts. The first two parts explored life expansion technologies like Organ printing, Cybernetics, stem cell research, and Metformin.
You can read the first two parts of this series here:
Part 1

Technologies that might extend our lifespan part 3

The Health spans too. As years go by, humans' health span and lifespan are becoming longer. Back in the days, Athletes retires in their 30s, and now we have Athletes still active in their 40s. We have no technologies that help people look and even feel younger in their 50s. Ageing is inevitable, but it might become a thing of the past.

Image

With the new technologies, diets, and nutrition discovered, We now have 50-year-olds who look like on their 20s and are still young and strong. I know lifespan expansion has made people think the world will be screwed and overpopulated, but you are wrong. If people live longer, fewer people will have children. Sweden, Switzerland, South Korea, and Japan are examples of long lifespan countries with dropping birth rates. Mortality makes people in a hurry to breed like rabbits back then to replace the people who died because people died in their 40s. Now the average lifespan is 80, and it might even become longer. That will make more people care about having kids less.

Here are some Technologies that exist now that promise to expand humans' healthspan and lifespan.

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy
Image

This technology has existed for a long time. The scientists created this technology for Scuba divers and astronauts. Scuba divers are at risk of getting aneurysms, so they use this therapy. They enter this coffin-like chamber that is like an oxygen-rich chamber. The room can lessen nitrogen bubbles on their blood and tissues. Scuba divers had used this machine to keep them healthy.

People with non-healing wounds, like people with diabetes, used this machine too.

Recently an Israeli Scientist discovered that people who use this machine three times a week get longer telomerase cells on their bodies. Telomerase is what young people have, and as we age, our tissues and organs get damaged because our telomerase decreases.

A lot of the life extension technologies I featured, It's the only one that is fully legal and globally available. A treatment is around 68 USD in developing countries and 100 dollars in the US. You have to make a lot of money to afford the Treatment. They tested this on a 95-year-old who could barely walk, and he felt like can run again after a year of Treatment. This Treatment fights to age, but you must afford the Treatment every week to feel the effects.

They even tried it on Covid Patients, and their bodies recovered faster along with the medication.

Chimera pigs

For decades scientists have been trying to make Pigs Organ donors for humans. They inject human DNA into a pig embryo. Then the source will be injected into a female pig, giving birth to a piglet with human cells. The kidney or heart of the big will be harvested and be pumped with more human DNA so it will become a matching organ donor for humans. 4 days ago, the first pig-to-human heart transplant just happened. We are not sure, though, if he will survive, but we don't have reports of his death yet, so we can say he is still alive. That piglet's life just made this man live longer. The majority of older people die of organ failure, and if we can replace organs with young, healthy ones every decade, we can live longer than expected.

Two months ago, the first Porcine to human kidney transplant was operated on a Braindead patient to see its feasibility.

Growth Hormones
When we are children, our bodies are rich in Growth Hormones. As we age, it decreases, and we become wrinkly, weak, and old. This Treatment is not yet legal, nor FDA approved, but this dermatologist had been using this to herself to keep herself young.

Though this one is not yet legal, People who tried it said they felt more vigorous and younger ever since they started injecting growth hormones. I don't trust this technology yet, but the potential is there.

This older man can do bodybuilding and become physically strong, and has the stamina to stay at the gym because of growth hormones.

Pancreas transplant.

Diabetes has been considered an incurable disease for a long time. Well, not anymore. There is now a cure for diabetes, and that technology is a Pancreas transplant! If you have diabetes and replace your pancreas with a donor, Your diabetes will be gone! No more need for insulin injections! You need to take medications, though, so your body won't reject the new organs.

This is one that can't be read once. It's a lot of intriguing information to take it. I'm curious about the Hyberbaric oxygen therapy. The video didn't play on my end but is there an end to it? I mean, for how long do you pay $68 a week, until death?

The use of it for fighting aging is a new but the subjects who tried it regularly became 38% younger. Most patients don't commit since its expensive. They just stop the treatment once they got the younger biological age of their desire.

We have two kinds of ages, The calendar age and the biological age. Mostly Obese people have biological age older than their calendar age. People with Healthy lifestyle have younger biological age than their calendar age. Most people who does this treatment stops once they achieve the biological age that is around 10 years younger. I can see this technology going well with the Pig organs. The first bicentennial person might be already born now.

I see, so one doesn't necessarily need to keep doing this treatment to maintain the effects of the treatment. It would have been too costly otherwise. As long as they can reach a desired result and stop there then it might be appealing to more people.

I always wonder if a person goes overboard and didnt stop, will they get even younger?

The organ transplant with pig organs excite me because its been 7 days and that man with pig heart is still alive. If he survive for at least a year, this technology is a success and death by organ failure will be a past.

I did not know of anything except pig's heart transplant. My grandfather died at the age of 42 years due to paralysis, my father is 65 and very healthy with no serious medical conditions.

If the pig heart is a success (it will be considered a success if he the patient stays alive in 1 year, It could become the end of diabetes. The cure of diabetes is pancreatic transplant. Pig pancreas with human dna can be used to get rid of diabetes.

A person got a knee replacement surgery recovered faster after using hyperbaric chamber therapy.

Some very ground-breaking therapies, Research(s) and Treatments.
Well, I just hope these are used for needy, and in a positive way.
Plus if any of these technologies can benefit many of the unhealthy and the hospitalized ones, I think the Governments should also come forward and subsidize these treatments.

The average life expectancy for most human beings is a little less than 80 years.
~ https://www.worldometers.info/demograph ... xpectancy/

It's a modern miracle of medical science that the health technology being developed can extend a person's lifespan to 100 years.

Human lifespan could soon pass 100 years thanks to medical tech, says BofA
~ https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/08/techs-n ... death.html

It's great that you can now hope for an additional 20 years of life. However, the way the world is constantly turning, if you get those extra years what will do with them?

Are you going to "Think of your fellow man. Lend me a helping hand. Put a little love in your heart." Cause if you are blessed with extra years, you really should try to "make the world a better place." :D :D

I am already contributing to the earth. I am fighting the food shortage crisis. There are more things I want to achieve and historical events I want to witness. I want to be alive when my country reaches first world status. I am excited that the pig heart man is still alive because I want to abuse that technology someday. Elderly people dies of organ failure and I will never suffer of organ failure if I can switch organs as long as I can afford it.

The scientist are trying to make the technology work with sheep organs because Muslims and Jews refuse to have Pig organs.

Pig heart guy is still alive and had been enjoying superbowl. He had been alive for a month since his surgery and his strength has been recovering. I want to afford this so by the time I am 50, I can replace all of my unhealthy organs. Organ failure will become a thing of the past.

50 is young! What makes you think you'll need organ replacements by that age. I'm 66 and not having any problems with my vital organs.

Most people I know got cancer that age, So I want to have young organs as early a possible.I will do everything to live longer than 100. I will definitely try all technologies that can make me younger, stronger, healthier and live longer. I am planning in advance.

Cancer. Ah yes! I know what you mean. One time at our church, about 7 to 9 people were diagnosed with cancer, within a week's time. It was in the prayer requests. Cancer is not an illness that affects many people in my family. I had one brother who had a cancerous lung that had to be removed. But he smoked a lot! I'm counting my blessings.

Pig Heart man is now going through therapy and he is still alive. It will be cool to see him walking and running again. If remained alive for a year or two, The surgery will be considered a success and more patients will be getting this treatment.

Quite ambitious but with new Technological developments, it could be a good possibility.
But yes, misuse of new technologies always remains a possibility.

He died this past Tuesday. They said his condition began deteriorating a few days earlier.
