At some point in our life we become victims of having to work under those in power. Be it in the office, at writing Sites and even having to deal with the idiosyncrasies of politcians who dictate terms just to feed their ego
Little do these ‘powerful’ men and women give a thought that their actions never get unnoticed as nemesis waits at the door

That is how the system works and when nemesis hits it never occurs to these power hungry men and women that it has anything to do with the exploitation that they indulged in victimizing those under them

A case in point is a Site that I was a member. It was a beautiful Site specially the community – there was no trolling no back biting. The community had some state-of-the-art members who had businesses of their own and some were top notch artists and photographers.

I just looked forward to being there keeping my other writing Sites in the back burner. Users were watching and mumbling under their breath but not openly talking about what they have been observing.
And one fine day the community as a whole got to know what was happening as one user exposed him and that gave others the courage to come out in the open with no holds barred. The CEO was not prepared for it. There was an exodus – almost sixty plus members stopped being active there – active only to expose him further.
It is a loss for both the owner and the community. Had the owner realized no wrong gets unnoticed as nemesis is always there waiting to enter

In our day to day life we get those opportunities to exploit and if we do, one has to pay a heavy price as nemesis will not leave a single person who indulges in it. The way animals are treated is one fine example. Those mute beings are given a raw deal. Animals need love. care and their freedom. Keeping dogs to watch the property and leashing them in a tiny space 24 hours of the day is cruelty of the highest order and wait a minute nemesis will visit such situations as well.

And then we have those who help us in our day to day household chores. Have we not heard of the ill treatment meted out to these poor souls ? They expect to be taken care of as they leave their homes and parents but instead they are fully exploited, even tortured and given no food for some small mistakes they would have committed.

Then there are the old parents who are left alone to fend for themselves as youngsters leave the shores seeking greener pastures. Old age homes are yet another spectacle when it comes to exploitation.

It will not be out of place to mention here even Corona could be a form of Nemesis. This article about what Corona has to say explains that in detail

Those who misuse power are criminals.

I am a farmer that sells animals but my ducks have better lives than Chickens from KFC, They are free ranged, they swim in a pond, they are able to find a lot of fresh fruits in the ground because of my ochards, they are not in cages. They are raised by their moms. I do harvest them for profit but they had the best life.

Animals are here for the benefit of human beings and eating them is one such benefit. If we did not eat them there would be chaos in this world. as it happened to our pet Gamma the rooster. We looked after him as a pet which was a wrong decision as his old age for him was too much. Looking after animals they way you do is the right approach.

What is your opinion of Apple and their involvement with child labor? That company is one of the worst bosses out there.\

Or how about the videogame company EA that treats their programmers like dirt.

What I have said in my article is just a tip of the iceberg. Child labour is the most condemned as so also how staff is treated in countless establishments.

Unfortunately, 99% of bosses just don't care about their employees well being, for them employees are just a way to mek them powerful and rich, that is why most of them exploit those that work for them.

Yes indeed. When legal and judicial experts came up with the phrase "abuse of power", they weren't doing it because they liked to play with words.

Today's judiciary is corrupt to the core. They have to please their bosses and the bosses are invariably the ruling government.

Video Game company EA is one of the worst bosses of all time. they don't even let their programmers sleep. they call this crunching. They force programmers to finish a game on a short deadline. Former Ea employees had sued them.

Setting time limit for finishing a project is indeed a kind of lack of conscience.

And that is the sad reality. Because the "boss" of the judiciary is supposed to be The People!

I am following some of the news about India. The farmers are protesting and came out in full force. I don't even know what all is going on but I believe them!! It's really cold and they are sleeping on the streets. You got to be angry!

Bosses: How clean is their conscience?

If you ask the boss, no doubt, they'll have an answer and say they did nothing wrong.

If you ask the employee, no doubt, they'll have an answer too.

As an example, in my real life:
My bosses can say whatever they want to say about why I resigned. But I left in peace. I never had any plans to take them to court. I'm just glad not to be working for them any more. I left a good paying job. I moved my family to a city where I knew nobody. I had no connections. No family. No friends. My intention was to scratch whatever happened in the past and start my life all over again. I did that and I have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!!

Farmers have been protesting for months now about some laws that the present government has plans to introduce which will take away their freedom. This link has more https://www.indiatoday.in/news-analysis ... 2020-12-15

I too gave up my job as the Head was making sweeping changes in the Company as a whole which impacted most workers. I felt it too.

I'll bet there are a lot of us here that have their "stories".
But for most of us the bottom line is ... we moved on! :)

Some of my co-workers and supervisors I have worked with over the years, I think were genuinely sad to see me leave but wished me the best. But there was one manager in particular who did not say one word to me. For all of those years I worked for him, I told my late husband that he didn't even say "Good bye" or anything. My husband said "Maybe he has something to hide." I thought: 'I don't know and I don't care.' All I know is I felt confident in my decision to leave and also relief. I have never felt sorry that I left. If they asked me to return, I would graciously decline the offer.
