Pollution is a problem caused by Technology, along with greed and laziness. Technology gets the most blame, but I think it is the latter that caused everything. Mining has caused too much damage, but governments don't want to end it because of greed. People also had been lazy to clean their surroundings. They are willing to clean their house but not the city or town where they live. I know many people suggest recycling but only 5% of plastics are getting recycled.
Here is some technology that can end help eradicate pollution if will be utilized globally.
Garbage bricks
Your average brick is not that durable but these bricks made of waste like plastics are more durable and they are ven fireproof! Plastic bricks is a technology that had been around for a long time. They are cheaper and more durable but for someone reason, most construction company still uses the expensive and nondurable hollow blocks. Remember a Karate chop can destroy a hollow block.
Plastic eating Mushrooms
These genetically modified mushrooms got created to eat nothing but plastic. The whole world has a never-ending problem with plastic because it is not biodegradable. These mushrooms are also edible. That means it can be integrated as animal feeds or a cheap vegetable source for the poor. These mushrooms as safe to eat because you won't find microplastics on their cells at all. They eradicate the plastics they consume.
Waxworms
Waxworms are a pest for beekeepers. It is recently discovered this pest can be used to eradicate plastic! Yes, plastic eating worms can consume, digest, and eat plastic! Their bodies have enzymes that can digest plastic. To prevent them from being invasive, dumpsites can have chickens to control their population. If Wax worm becomes an industry, it will also be an additional source of income for bee farmers.
Automated Plastic harvesting interceptor
This robot got created to collect plastic waste from rivers before they reach oceans. Imagine if most rivers around the world have this. The problems with plastics will be reduced. The collected plastic can be either fed to the waxworms or plastic eating mushrooms. This robot also runs with solar energy so it won't contribute to the air pollution problems.
Bioplastic
Plastics made of organic matter already exist and they are biodegradable. Any oil can be made to use to make bioplastics. So corn oil and cottonseed oil had been used to make them.
This one is made of banana peels!
Peels of different fruits had been proven to be useful materials for making bioplastics.
Remember this year millions of potatoes are left to rot because of the pandemic? Those potatoes could have been used to make bioplastics.
If most single-use plastics are used by groceries it will decrease the problems with non-biodegradable trash. Plastic can take over 500 to 1000 years to decompose while these bioplastics can be gone in 6 weeks once it got wet and expose to moisture.

Some very interesting materials, worms, Technologies to take care of the massive Plastic waste. I had heard of the bricks and the plastic eating mushrooms but not about a few more things you told here. 1 thing: The Banana Peel Video does not plays. May be the link has become invalid?

Some very innovative ideas there. I was not aware of them. Installing that robot to clean the rivers might be a costly affair but I think it is worth the benefits it is going to bring to the world. I will be hesitant to eat those mushrooms And I think it is a good idea for bee keepers to get one more business.

Surprised that these technologies are not adopted already in our attempts to do away with plastics. It shows that more efforts need to be put in place then. These would really help the world generally.

I have never heard of any of these. But in my home country, some construction companies are considering mixing plastic with the asphalt to pave the road.
