People use to make fun of these groups of people and think they are crazy. Well, now they have the last laugh during this Pandemic because they got the upper hand in the end.
Homeschoolers-
People always assume that homeschoolers are awkward shy people who have no social skills. That stereotype had been debunked by multiple successful people are homeschoolers. There had been many debates about homeschooling but the homeschoolers have the last laugh because the whole world is homeschooling now. From elementary students to their parents trying to learn new skills online. After this Pandemic, I can see many students deciding to continue online schooling since they won't have to deal with bullying and it saves their parents more money.
Homesteaders
Homesteaders are stereotyped as Hippies and Hipsters who refuse to go to groceries. Well, Why would they? They grow their own food. They grow their own vegetables and they raise their own source of meat, eggs, and dairy. While City people are in chaos trying to buy groceries due to shortages, these people have no worries. Also, many people who rely on groceries are suffering from a consumer rat race with all that inflation.
Doomsday preppers
Years Ago, these preppers had been called crazy. These so-called crazy people have more comfortable lives now than the people who ridiculed them. 8 years ago people made fun of Donna Nash because she trained her family to be prepared for a Pandemic. I am sure her family is now sitting pretty.
Bidet owners This song makes the people who wash their butt have this song in mind when they look at the culture of people who cleans with toilet paper.
I think one focuses more on Americans, Australians, and some British people because they don't wash their behinds. They wipe it with toilet paper. Bidet owners have an attachment to their toilet that makes toilet paper optional. This attachment washes their backdoor bottoms. Americans use to make fun of the French and Japanese for having a small machine wash their butts instead of wiping with toilet paper. Bidet owners don't need to worry about toilet paper shortages.
Online workers Find a real job! That is what most people will tell you if you invited them to try online jobs. The majority of people who lost their jobs are the so-called people with real jobs. Some of the real jobs transition to online working, but the rest lost their source of income. People who work online continue earning money despite the pandemic going on. Many people always assume all online jobs are scam and also looks down on online jobs. Even if you gave them payment proofs, they will not believe you. Yeah my job aint real but I still make money while they struggle financially.
Couponers Look at the lady on this video, She doesn't worry about food shortages until the end of early next year. She has a stockpile of supplies that will take long from expiring.
Couponers had been called crazy as well because they had been cutting newspapers, printing coupons online, and downloading coupons apps to get discounts from groceries.

Yes, the Pandemic has changed a lot. A few things that we miss, but new opportunities as well. I am seeing a huge huge quantity of Online courses for various things- something that is much higher than even 8 months back. And we have seen record jumps in the production of hand sanitizers, masks and surface disinfectants(perhaps a new industry by itself) in India!

That's so true - all those people (including us) are having the last laugh! Even here, where people are all about the regular 9-5 in a bricks and mortar office, people are starting to warm to the idea of remote/online work. And to think that they used to be so cynical

As I know coupones are only available in US and UK (I can't confirm for UK). In my country, Croatia, we don't have coupons for grocery stores. Only some points but it is not easy to collect them.

The whole world actually have coupons but not as good as the US,UK and Canada ones. Their coupons are 100% discount. Most countries have 10 to 40 percent off.

We have 10-40% discounts but those are directly i store. You can't collect coupons from newspapers or combine it to get bigger discount. Sometimes you can get good discount if you buy multiple items but it is rare.

On many things, we have "Up to 30%", "Up to 40%" offs. SO that could be 30, 29 or even 1 or 2 % only. At times, people buy things with "up to 30% off" and then they feel cheated when the actual discount is just 1 to 5% !!

I have never considered myself a homesteader but we do grow most of our vegetables and fruits and we have chickens for eggs. It is true that during the lockdown we weren't as worried as most people with our supplies. most people that you listed were considered nuts but now the world is treating them as visionaries.

Homesteading is one of the best decision I made in my life. I became more self sufficient and not rely on groceries most of the time. Especially this pandemic.

I watched few shows with Doomsday preppers theme. I think there is much more this people. I bet they didn't have to stay in line for buying groceries or masks. They are already prepared, especially those who are afraid of chemical attack on US.

I remember a cousin of me told me to find a real job when he found out I work online. Now he is begging to teach him how to work online. Looks like his real job is now real gone.

We already have solar panels but only to heat the water. Now we want to have Photovoltaic panels to produce our own electricity. These are more expensive than solar panels for water. We are trying to save the money for it as I think it really worth, besides producing our own energy we can also sell the surplus.

I think many people become preppers now. As soon we start stock food or other supplies we become preppers. I know I am. I have extra detergent, pasta, some food in cans. Not much, but it is more than I would have it in last year. I think preppers will become even more popular and there will be more blogs about it.

I am not yet full pledged prepper but I am homesteader now. I already have my own source of vegetables, meat and eggs. I also wanted to expand to other animals and plants. I discovered that aside from dragon fruit there are other species of cactus that are edible. I want to have them because they thrive on deserts.

I think one of the best things to happen due to this pandemic is a lot of people, even in the urban areas, have resorted to growing their own food. People started growing vegetables, herbs, spices, fruits in the front or back yard, in the terraces and balconies, etc. I am also growing tomatoes and green vegetables.
