Pop How to help your favorite singer if you can't afford to buy songs/cd/albums/digital copies?

Postby Netherrealmer » 30 Nov 2019, 06:22

Your favorite singer or band have a new song and you like the new song but you cannot afford to buy it in physical nor digital form. Does your conscience kills you when you pirate their song? Do you want to make it up to them and help them make money without you spending a single dime? Yes it possible now! You can still be a good supportive fan even if you are so poor that you cannot afford to buy songs as long as you have Internet. This tip will really help the singer especially if they are an independent artist who are usually struggling artists. It can be also helpful to mainstream singers too. You can also support the families of dead singers too because they receive royalties.

Here are the things you can do to help your favorite musical artist.

1. Stream their songs in spotify- Spotify is a free app where you can listen to the song of at least 80% of singers in existence both deceased and living. Most singers actually don't earn from album sales anymore. They earn more from internet presence. Everytime you stream their songs in spotify they earn money without you spending a cent or a dime because their spotify pages gets ads. Spotify is a free way to help your favorite artists financially if you cannot buy songs.

2. Watch Youtube videos on their official channel. I like the singer Poppy, she have this sweet innocent voice and she have the ability shift genres from pop to death metal and unlike other singers who lies about themselves, she is honest about being an Illuminati member. Let's say I want to listen to her song "Low life" on Youtube. The moment I searched for the song, I got 2 results. One is from her official Youtube channel and one is a random pirated upload from a fan. Youtube views actually influences the Billboard charts now. It is not sales anymore.

If I listened to the official upload on her channel, She will earn from my like, comment and from the ads. If I listened to an unofficial upload she will not make money. Oh don't skip the ads, to make sure they will make money.

3..Follow the singer or band on their socials- Youtube,Instagram, Facebook and twitter can be monetized. Also if you follow their socials you will get notified if they have new song or album which you can listen to at Youtube and spotify. Many fans wondering if their favorite singer have a new song but they never get to know it because they don't follow them.

4. Promote them to your friends- Word of mouth is the best way to market things. Many singers got viral because of word of mouth. Instead of insulting the favorite singers of your family and friends, invite them to listen to songs that you like, especially the new ones since that can help them with their career.

5. Request their songs on radio station- Radio stations have emails, hotlines and social network accounts where you can request songs . Artists earns money every time their song is played on the radio.

Are you sure Poppy is being honest about being an Illuminati member? Lol, ok, yeah we can support them by doing our own promotion of their work. Even with Poppy, for example, today is the first time I'm hearing about her. Now I'll go check for myself what her voice sounds like and what her music is all about. I may in turn end up doing the same thing you did. No doubt, somewhere all of this is helping her out.

I remember a friend of mine complaining about how much she loves the music of Vanessa Carlton and how sad she was that she doesn't make music anymore. I told her she is still making music, she is just not over promoted anymore. You can go to her official Youtube channel and discover she still makes music. Yes many so called fans thought their favorite singer quits because they don't follow their socials.

But that's news to me too. I didn't know she was still doing music either. So, it's a matter of searching them out and staying connected with them. My word, it's just that some are being promoted so much it sort of hides others in the business.

Wow there are many ways to support an artist without spending one singe dime. It is cool when artists reciprocate and help those fans who helped them. For example if a fan has a struggling, product, service, site, blog etc. and could use a plug from the artist, he or she is willing to do so and does it.

Vanessa got unlucky to be signed to Interscope records back then, this company is known to abandon their singers for dead by their second album. By your second album, marketing is your own responsibility. The only singer who did well with them is Gaga, since Gaga have publicity stunt gimmicks.

Vanessa have songs better than A thousand miles but that is her only song Interscope bother promoting.

I think interscope neglected her for refusing to slut it up.

I've never heard of such a thing. As in, why would a record label do that? I thought Tupac and Eminem were also under Interscope. Maybe they didn't even need the label's marketing? Vanessa's music is good and deserves to be promoted.

Sadly she doesn't want to fill their mold for female singers. She doesnt really want to hypersexualize herself. Also her being native american made them not market her a lot. They rather focus on Caucasian and Black singers because they sell easier for them.

I love stalking people so I always have to follow them in order to see their content.

I also love watching YouTube videos as often as their new music drops out. I loved a thousand miles I still sing it Everytime it comes on radio.

I also love how you can choose the music you want to listen to on the Radio, but you can only do that during the time for requests not all the time.

I follow most singers I liked and socmed because music companies dont promote their new content when they got older. Many fans have no idea their favorite singers still make new content because they don't follow their socmeds.

I have been always against pirating and my conscience never allowed it. It is actually a crime as we are ruining the livelihoods of so many who are involved in that industry be it music or movie. I do all the four that you mentioned, I listen to them on Spotify, follow them on social media, share them with my friends, go to their YouTube channel, and promote them through the mouth of word. I have never requested them on radio as I do not listen to much of radio except when I am in my car.

Well, I think I am not the ideal fan  I don't use Spotify and I don't follow singers on social media sites, I never request their songs on the radio station and I usually only watch their youtube channels if the song really appeals to me. On the other hand, I do share the singers I like with my friends and family, I guess that is not enough to help them.

There are so many good singers in my country that I like. I try my best to always follow them on all social media platforms I'm active on. I also retweet their tweets on tweeter, share them on Facebook too.
Sometimes, I also share their songs with friends on Whatsapp who may like to listen to them.

Subscription to the you tube channel and watching his or her songs would be a great form of help.

Majority of BTS fans dont even purchased their albums but they are the most successful music artist right now because of grassroots marketing of their fans. We now live in an age where fans dont even need to spend money just to support the singer.
