Work-at-Home Advice: Mompreneurs Who Inspire Success

Postby cmoneyspinner » 11 Jun 2019, 01:44

In 2013, Matthew Toren compiled a list of mompreneur bloggers to watch (see Reference). As I recall, it was the first time I had ever heard the term or label “mompreneur”. Matt and his brother Adam have been in business since the age of 10 and as of today they are involved in numerous profitable endeavors: investing, mentoring, writing business books, and operating various blogs and websites. So it’s quite a compliment if either one of them takes the time to recommend a blog because they were impressed. But when they particularly want to shine the spotlight on moms, I personally think it's sweet.

It’s good to see the women out there who are doing it for themselves, and it’s great to see young men pay them respect. To compile a list 100 successful women is quite an accomplishment. The information supplied in this list is more than 5 years old, so I searched for another resource where I could always find up-to-date information on these female entrepreneurs. If you want to stay up-to-date, bookmark this site: Mompreneur® Showcase Group Inc. (aka Mompreneurs®).

29 Mompreneurs that were on Mr. Toren's 2013 “Top 100” List were also included in another list he prepared which recommended the “Top 40” mompreneurs to follow on Twitter. Out of those 20+, I am shining the spotlight on 5 mompreneurs because they offer services of interest to me which might also interest others with similar goals and aspirations.

(1) Holly Reisem Hanna ~ http://www.theworkathomewoman.com/
The Work at Home Woman ®, LLC began in 2009. This website shares information on work-at-home jobs, business opportunities, and advice on starting a blog.

(2) Melanie Kissell ` http://melaniekissell.com
Ms. Kissell offers proofreading and copy-editing services to help you improve your content. To use her words: “I make people look good.”

(3) Melia Lore ~ http://www.mojowriting.com
Ms. Lore offers a wide range of digital and print publishing services such as ghostwriting, proofreading, SEO optimized web content, and social media marketing.

(4) Joanne Bamberger ~ http://www.punditmom.com/the-book
You'll love the tagline for her website. “Having an opinion never goes out of style.” She wrote a book titled “Mothers of Intention: How Women & Social Media are Revolutionizing Politics in America” and it's a best seller on Amazon.

(5) Nancy Travers ~ http://www.barefootbooks.com
You'll appreciate the mission of this site. “Share stories. Connect Families. Inspire children.” At this website you will find award-winning children's books. The founders also want to encourage individuals to build their own Barefoot book business.

Whether or not you consider yourself a mompreneur, it can't hurt to visit their websites and blogs to see if you can learn their secrets to success.

~ Have you ever heard of the Toren brothers?

~ Are you familiar with any of these mompreneurs?
